I bought a Hue starter kit today. This is going to be addictive - coloured bulbs and light bar will be frivolously purchased shortly.
3 other full colour bulbs already in the house, more planned..
Have you seen that they do outdoor lights?
I am not sure I can afford this thread anymore! £143 for a lightbulb - oh well ordered!

To second the comment it is addictive. I have bought loads in the last year but it is regularly on offer so whilst expensive it is less expensive than full price!

In the last few weeks I made a hue compatible 5m light strip using stuff from AliBaBa.com which was more like £30 for the lot. I will post details on the Hue thread in due course.

You utter bd! I managed stay off this thread for years but a moment of weakness, started reading, and within 10 minutes I’ve done this:

I hate Amazon so rather frivolously, I paid an extra £29.99 above the Amazon price to get it from Argos. Had to have the little electric pump the bloody Argos page “recommended” of course, so that’s another £15. Then came the buoyancy aids, and I thought I might as well get two in case Miss LittleQQ wants to play around with a friend or one of her cousins. Unfortunately, then I got a bit distracted, thought it was about time I taught my 7 year old daughter how to go snorkelling properly, and ended up buying some fins for her and a new pair for me as well:

Now I’m lusting after a new roller muzzle speargun and I know I’ll be caving in to temptation too soon for my own good. At least I managed to stay away from the air rifle shops. So far anyway, it’s only a matter of time... It’s all YOUR bloody fault, dudleybloke, all your fault. irked

hehe

Not listening
I’m not allowed to listen. 8 colour bulbs, 8 white bulbs, 2 remotes, and a bridge is as far as I got. frown All that for just 2 rooms. hehe I would thoroughly recommend the Hue Disco app.

Well, the Vertu egofrig services no longer exist, but otherwise it's an android phone so whilst not able to run the latest apps it does what I need. It just feels really, really, nice doing it smile
Ah really? I assumed it would be some sort of Symbian-based offering and all but useless in the modern world, other than for actually making calls. God dammit, now I might have to go and research these laugh

They were initially but the final editions before they went bust moved to touchscreen android - they’re really nice and still eye-wateringly expensive considering they’re long defunct

I've no idea what Justayellowbadge paid for his, but the 'bay suggests Constellation Vs like that still sell for upwards of £200. Yes, it'll still make calls and texts, and loads of apps will no doubt still be fine, but I'd imagine many will be too constrained by the ageing hardware which was far from cutting edge when it was launched.

A nice thing to own, perhaps, but for that kind of money...

The sea's still a little bit chilly, so it's not really frivolous when something's this cheap is it? €17 for a shorty wetsuit. I don't understand how they can even make them for that money, presumably I've just paid some Vietnamese kids wages in the sweat shop for the next year.

Running watch broke... so just ordered a new Garmin Forerunner 245 Music. Heart rate sensor, and music storage so I can go phone free when I go out for a run, works in the pool, and has some smart watch functions/all day tracking etc. It's pretty small too!

Then of course I need some bluetooth headphones. I was hugely sceptical, but trialled these bone conducting Aftershokz Trekz Air in the store and the effect was extraordinary. Hopefully they'll be ok on the move too.

Can't wait! Have been wanting my other watch to die for a couple of years!!
Ha, I did pretty much the same a few months back when my old watch died, Fenix5s and Aftershokz.

The headphones are great but your post has just made me realise I forgot to being them to work today for my run home frown

To those who bought the inflatable kayaks, please do a review once used. I live next to the sea and keep thinking of getting one from decathlon to have in the back of the landrover for camping, but have to wonder if they’re any good.

We’re off on holiday on 13th July, the moment Miss LittleQQ’s school finishes, so I’ll be able to post up a review on 14th or 15th.
