I think this is the updated link

I wasn't alone amongst reviewers who identified the thin, raised (pointless) plastic rim just beyond the ear bud, which acted like a 'blade' against the inner side of the tragus.
Thumbs up for these. I bought a pair as my first wireless earbuds. I didn't want to spend hundreds on high-end ones only to discover I don't like wireless earbuds at all. Turns out I do like wireless, but I'm still using these, as I can't find any reason to upgrade.

I could link to the Aldi site, but for your own good I won't.
But.....But......is there a man alive who DOESN'T need a 500-piece assorted split pin kit?

Ah fair enough, those are different than mine actually. I cant find my ones on the UK amazon for some reason, but here is the German link:

https://www.amazon.de/Cancelling-TaoTronics-Nacken...

I also have these which i use in the office, the fit isnt quite as good as the first ones but still decent for the money:

https://www.amazon.de/TaoTronics-Kabelgebundene-Ge...
What is the sound quality like on these? I have a colleague at work who is after a pair of wireless headphones like this who likes to listen to heavy metal.

I like them, the bluetooth ones fit my ears very well and cut out a lot of outside sound with the ANC as well. Sound quality is decent given they are more budget level compared to some of the sony ones etc.
Would definitely recommend them, amazon have a good returns policy anyway if your colleague didn't agree as its pretty subjective I guess.

So like everybody else I also jumped on the KAYAK bandwagon, money well spent, thank you for the original link.

That looks awesome

I’d enjoy that it I don’t think it would be the same down the river don.

What are the rules can you just plop it in any river or are there restrictions.

in scotland you can paddle on any inland water way. we have a ‘right to roam’ where you can basically walk/ cycle/ paddle through any land or water as long as you do not disturb anything or leave a trace.

And tagging on the back of this (and to annoy those who seem to get upset when the thread gets talkative on headphones), are these ANC ear phones in terms of the earphone or just the microphone? A lot of the cheaper ones seem to have a noise cancelling mic but not the ear phones themselves.

They have ANC, not just the mic. I do notice a difference when I turn the ANC on/off.
I wasn't expecting much with the ANC but was surprised how well they worked for the price, which is why I then bought the bluetooth ones also, these are even better I would say but I think this is also down to how well of a fit they are in my ears which helps.

In the rest of the UK, where trespassing is a thing, you need a British canoeing (or UK waterways) license. Easy to get and carries an indemnity insurance too.

Should't have clicked that email. Now soon to be the proud owner of an Aldi robot vacuum hehe

It's Home & DIY week, so strongly advise you to NOT go on the website or in store.
I spotted that, too.

SWMBO could well be making a frivolous purchase.
Have those of you who bought one of these used it yet? Is it any good? Asking for a friend...

Not sure if it's the same as the one we bought a few years ago, but the're ok for hard flooring, useless on carpets. The one we have is also pretty dumb and prone to getting stuck in stupid places. When it's not doing that it's following you about like a horny dog trying to hump your leg. We call ours Randy.

Walked in Aldi this morning to buy some teabags.
I managed to avoid the cordless paint sprayer but I did walk out with a cordless electric screwdriver complete with a bit kit, cost a massive £14.99

Are these ones any good?

£25, would be the right kind of price for me to use when I take the train or want to charge my phone and listen to music at the same time

Also - has anyone got any experience of bluetooth car adapters that plug into your car Aux socket?

The Volvo has a very basic stereo, being ex-police, so no bluetooth or similar, but I've seen a few devices that would pair the phone via bluetooth and then output via a 3.5mm jack that I can put into the aux socket?

I tried that, didn't work very well.

What did work was an amazon alexa input plugged into the aux and a multi out 12v to usb power thing.
Then set the phone as a hotspot so I now have voice control of my music and the phone is still usable as a phone/satnav etc.

I used this in my ISF, worked rather well for the money. A friend has the same thing in his Defender
