I have the 1988 and 89 editions somewhere.
It was like a bible back then, I still have an early ‘80’s one with the original super champ, Subaru brat etc in it. Grasshopper had just been released I think.

Yeah, Anki went bust. Not sure I'd drop £99 on something that will effectively be a paperweight in a year or so when the apps stop working.

Maybe get cheap deals on their overdrive scalextric type things then, surely the products will still keep working but you wont have support or get any new apps developed etc?

Also, Wish is f*cking dangerous.

I ordered what i thought was a standard looking later pen to ps off the dogs, cat, daughter etc.

It arrived with a funny looking battery and when i used it i can certainly do the above. If the dogs, cat etc. were on the moon! redface. Aren't lasers this powerful illegal / frowned upon in the UK.

I did a distance test and can easilt his a friends house that's over a mile away and he tells me the dot was still very bright. Was checking the news all night in case someone from somewhere was sniping folks with a green laser attachment. THat or the CAA on the hunt as i'm on a flight path. Scary bright.
Link?
Link def needed!

Knowing how much followers of this thread like some headphone action, it seemed reasonable to drop today's Costco purchase in here.

Quite literally... head... phones.

And frivolous, because I bought some expensive wireless headphones just a few weeks ago.

Yes, I’ve got some of them as well. The battery doesn’t last that long though.
Mine are scrap - the battery is fooked after 3 months - battling with Aftershokz to get replaced. Avoid!

To be fair you may have got a faulty pair, my wife got some in January and uses them pretty much daily and still going strong.
Pretty stty of them if they won’t fix it after just 3 months though.

Only because I'd never heard of it before and now just ordered a stupidly powerful torch. Thanks! smile

These arrived yesterday.

I have lots of trainers and shoes.
I already have a pair of 'trachten' shoes for the various beer Festivals.
They are easily the most expensive shoes i own.

But they are puke resistant.

i think they qualify here.

My Oculus Rift arrived over the weekend. It's bloody horrible!

So far:
My daughter has thrown up and fallen over whilst on a roller coaster ride.
My niece fell into an oak cabinet and split her lip while playing table tennis.
I played dirt rally for about 30 second before giving up due to motion sickness.

It can live in the TV cabinet and brought out to make a fool of any visitors wanting to give it a try.

£400 well spent then!
Try Superhot VR or BeatSabre. In Beatsabre you're stationary and so is the background scenery so no motion sickness issues, and Superhot is slow movement so shouldn't be an issue. The free space station one from the BBC made me feel ill, but I have no trouble with those two.

What the hell is that wish app all about?
Signed up and told me to choose a free gift from a load of random things and then I spent about 45 minutes just scrolling.
Laser pens, crossbows, guns, fake money and then sunglasses and watches for £1.

I've apparently just bought a 10.1" tablet for £2 delivered.

I understand it will be awful, but how bad can it actually be?

It is, I've got these on my car for reasons unknown to me, I've never stopped and thought "these will look great" before. Took forever to arrive but been on for a few months now with no ill affects!
