I'm still struggling to get over the weird cheap stuff they sell on there.
A bulletproof vest for £6? What a strange thing to sell. Who the hell buys that??
At six quid I wouldn't want to put it to the test hehe
At six quid each, wear two to be on the safe side.

One day this thread is going to be responsible for setting my house on fire or having me arrested. Right now I'm just trying not to buy a few 50 inch spiders.

Would I be mad to buy some ceiling lights on Wish?

Just so happens I need 3 sets and seen quite a few styles I like on there. Cheap electrics are fine, right?

I brought a recovery truck to carry my track car around on as it’s easier to use than a trailer and I’ve always wanted one
Kind of frivolous

Now it handles the weight of the track car fine but I was bored on eBay and brought these just so I can have air suspension

Very frivolous. Am I doing this right

Does a lock pick set count as I have a loose lock on my desk that I can’t find the key for? Bought purely for the satisfaction of opening it!
YouTube is your friend. I learned to unlock pretty much every standard lock watching videos..
Its very worrying how easy it is. My firebox/safe can be opened in about 10 seconds.
Well that didn’t last long!! The plastic lock lasted me all of about 30 seconds!! Will try a real lock tonight

Edit: I’ve got the clear lock down to 10.17 secondssmile

I assume you're just raking it?

Nope, pushing each of the pins every time and applying pressure via a torque bar. smile

New 40% keyboard. Still waiting on the case and carbon fibre plate to be sent for it but plugged in some cheap switches I had spare to test it.

Not sure how much I will actually use it once it comes as its missing the number row and a few other keys from by 65% board I currently use.

TKL and my 65% for scale:

Pretty frivolous but not more than a horse owner buying a van instead of a trailer. Are you prepared to be called upon whenever a mate needs to get a car moved?

Having gone down the route of fullsize, tenkeyless, 65%, 60%, ergodox, preonic, then planck, I'm back at a tenkeyless, albeit with custom hi-pro key caps.

I don't think I could ever go back to a TKL or full size, I just don't use those keys on a daily basis, with the exception of the arrow keys. Arrow keys are my prefered way of navigating around just about everything so I don't really want those on a modifier.

Why you switch back?

Who doesn't love a completely pointless £15 watch when you already have 11 perfectly good, much better and more expensive watches???

Just wondering as I am looking for ideas.

Arrow keys, feel, mainly. I'd happily ditch the function row and numpad, hence going down the reduced route. Went to the planck first, realized the number row was a must have for me (too many layers and combos to remember), so went preonic. Didn't really get on with the flat key profile, and lack of arrow keys and not being able to drop your hand on the arrows by feel was an issue.

By then I'd got some hi-pro caps, and the profile worked comfortably for me.

Probably the best compromise board was the white fox...but it was too flimsy. They had that as a selling point, but I wasn't keen on the feel - plus the arrows needed more separation.

Ergodox just doesn't work when you're on and off a mouse a lot.

Ideally I'd like a function key row removed, slightly horizontally condensed TKL board, in a similar case to what I have currently (~5lb of alloy), but I'm happy enough with this not to feel a great urge to change. Plus, I'm $300 into it and don't want to waste that.
