If we’re doing bikes, I bought myself a 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 evo for my birthday, complete with carbon dual shotgun termis.

Frivolous as I only passed my bike test a month ago biggrin

Already taken it apart to fit a few mods in the name of safety - LED round headlight conversion, a brake strobe, and a 120db air horn! Should be back together in a day or so.

I think that's only frivolous if you don't have a bike.

I bought a cordless jigsaw the other day to cut some wood for a project.

Got it home, cut the wood, put it in the box and then opened the storage container I keep all my tools in, only to find an identical cordless jigsaw.

Not frivolous but I didn’t need it!

Now they both live in the container with the two identical cordless sanders...

Very cool mate.

When I passed by test in May I bought a CB650F in the Honda Tri Colour, still undecided if I like road biking or not, moreso idiots wanting to knock me off the bike

I made the mistake of telling the wife I got some more earphones and got a bking! I was told I’ve got too many.

Got some Sony ones but the battery lasts less than 2 hours so no good on the train to London, the Apple air pods aren’t noise cancelling so not good on the tube, so best of both worlds, AirPod pros!

Previously I had to carry 2 sets:

Now I don’t!

I should be clear here, due to apathy I had fallen foul of "nice house guv'nor syndrome. I did not, and do not want to be responsible for cutting my grass. Yes, first world problem but it gets to 120 degrees and there are ticks. The landscaper just pushed his luck too much.

The problem I face is that I still do not want to cut my grass. So here comes Geoff to the rescue.

Geoff will be out there cutting the grass for me. He is GPS enabled so if he get kidnapped I will be able to find the culprits.

So none of this seems frivolous yet. Well, not completely. But, Geoff will not be able to get to every blade of grass so I have had to also buy a strimmer and will have to cut my grass. Thus making the whole idea of not cutting my own grass a failure.

Geoff is killing me! I have to put a cable down around the garden so he doesn’t run off and cut the neighbors garden/swimming pool. Due to the complexity of my garden it has taken hours and my back is killing me.

If the goal was to do less gardening I have gone from doing nothing to doing a ton and paying a load of money for the tools to automate.

Mission status currently failure.

Don’t know if I posted this.

We needed a generator for a remote regular job we are doing for a client.

A suitcase one would have done,

I bought this instead.

He’s now called “ Dog “ after Half Life 2 Robot Dog.

I needed something to wash Wilburs paws before getting him in the Discovery as it was just getting filthy.

A £20 paw scrubber would have sufficed.

I got this instead.

It’s Ace!

He’s very capable, and articulate with his paws, to the extent he can hold things between them, but most shoes, chew toys and balls.

But a portable jet washer, basically no! smile
