I certainly remember low level October snow on the M1 from I think Oct 2009. I picked it up on the front of my car from Leicester to Northampton. I pulled in to Tescos at Brackley to fill up and everyone was staring at my car in disbelief

Slimbridge has welcomed the earliest Bewick Swans for over 50 years. Probably more a sign that it's already cold in Russia than impending doom. The signs keep stacking up, but of course none of them are scientifically valid.
