When I've been recently, in or out of season, it's been heaving!

Yeah, US bars get 'sponsored' by these brewers, not much I could do here (and I like a cheeky mainstream lager!). Sh(t band probably meant no glasses on property.

Applecross indeed, and it wasn’t as busy as I’ve seen it. In fairness the weather was meant to be bloody awful all weekend and I suspect a few day tripper types probably binned it off as a result. There were a few tables free by around 9-9:30 in the bar.

Lovely beach there, and the pub’s beer garden is amongst the best in the country for me.

Well. As long as you know where you’re flying to it doesn’t really matter where you are smile

Did the NC500 in the summer and quite jammily got a space (well, a hut) at the campsite just up the hill from this for the one night that we were there. Tried to get some food here; walked in the door and straight back out again it was so busy.

Ended up in the place back along towards the "main" road, on the corner, upstairs, and the views were awesome.

In fact the views for most of the West Coast part of that trip will stay with me for a long time - fking amazing!
