Not a fan of CT - poor quality and fit IMHO.
I wear either Jaeger or Simon Carter. Expensive normally but go into TK Maxx and you'll often find both brands for around £25 a shirt.
+1 for jaeger/Simon Carter, always impressed. I wear either Jaeger or Simon Carter. Expensive normally but go into TK Maxx and you'll often find both brands for around £25 a shirt.
I must admit I do think TM Lewin/Charles Tyrwhitt used to be much better quality, but the last batch I ordered went straight back as they have really cut costs.
I bought 4 Charles Tyrwhitt shirts when I started my new job 6 months ago and I've been chuffed to bit with them.
To me they feel very good quality indeed. Thick cotton, they wash very well and free brass collar stiffeners with each shirt.
I bought the short sleeve, slim fit, non iron ones and wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

Folks
I need some new work shirts and was hoping for a recommendation. You'd think this would be easy enough but alas no!
Price range of about £20-25 per shirt max, I tried the Thomas Nash ones from Debenhams a little while ago and thought the quality was quite poor - not much better than supermarket ones. I then tried their 'St George by Duffer' ones which were better on quality but they were an absolute b*****d to iron.
So over to you, good people!
What do you work at? Lumberjack? pilot? chimney sweep? male stripper? croupier?I need some new work shirts and was hoping for a recommendation. You'd think this would be easy enough but alas no!

Will check out Charles whatshisface, trouble is I really prefer to be able to try on, though if the returns policy is ok that's not so bad!
They have stores up and down the country where you can try on.http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/Charles-Tyrwhitt-uk-stor...
Go for the non-irom shirts. You won't look back. You will still have to iron, but are so easy! I live abroad, and still get all workshirts from here.
TM Lewin every time. I bought four for about £125. I have NEVER ironed any of them and they stay super crease free. And I get 5 mins of my life back, every day.
No brainer.
