Mrs.T66 is out with friends, so I've just spent some time watching this. Amazing men with more backbone and courage than I could dream of, and a plane that sent goosebumps over my skin when I saw it flying at Goodwood Revival and Carfest. Incredible.

I watched the original programme when broadcast, and while I was never a huge fan of his solo work or that of his time in Orange Juice, I found it really humbling and heartwarming. I have watched it again many times since and still marvel at the power of human spirit, humour, love and family.

It is and it is a bloody excellent book - On holiday a couple of years ago someone had left a copy behind and I picked it up to take a look as I didn't have anything else. I didn't put it down before finishing it.

No the interview itself is real but they used 'deepfake' tech to make him look like tom cruise as he quotes him. it is quite subtle in that clip.

Edit. I'm a fan of the corridor crew channel and reckon I can see a couple of places where they slipped up, but how long before it's impossible for a layman to tell the difference if a video of Jeremy/Boris stabbing puppies appears?

This deepfake stuff is very good, but also slightly alarming from an identity theft perspective.

How do you know he has not followed the procedure and been allocated an age appropriate number? I just checked on line and the number now on the car comes back as a Rover in red.

I may be wrong of course but the car could have gone through SVA or IVA and be completely legal.

Thanks for putting that up Shuvi but I'm probably the wrong person for this, aside from a couple of very short clips I've never seen a tom cruise film.
The impersonator in that video just looks odd, the big grin and strange pallor have a very weird effect, I don't think it looks authentic at all.

I've seen the Arnie one as well and the people in the comments are all amazed, I'm just not seeing it.
I have a feeling the celebrity angle may be leading people to a little over excitement.

It is not totally authentic yet but the tech is improving so it is only a matter of time before they will be able to swap faces flawlessly.

This is the best deep fake so far, probably because the scene is steady which lends itself well. I think many who hadn't seen The Shining would assume this is a Jim Carey film.
