Amazing how filthy it all looks, Tower Bridge etc, grim. Yet there is hardly any traffic compared to today. Guess it was the fault of that power station and so on that they showed.

Steam trains were only out of service in 1968 on mainlines, plus almost all homes still had coal fires... So not just the power stations.

Indeed, I have been following them from pre cat days. Quite a story really what with the ups and downs with his neck fracture. Agree with you re the videography - stunning! Glad you like it.
