That's because the majority of US trucks still run on drum brakes , because they always have . Common mindset here is that discs on trucks are the work of the devil , they're still getting their heads around air ride and ABS

Yeah that's surprising watching a truck having to rock back and forth to get speed up to get over a slight incline on a turning lane. USA -20 years ahead on some things. 50 years behind on others...
