This is a quick death for them and the bodies can be dealt with. The alternative is poison and the rats die in much worse pain and the bodies can end up anywhere. I've had a rat problem these last two years or so, since they started building houses in the fields opposite us.
My neighbour on one side has chickens so its a problem for him.
He has two Jack Russels that are particularly useless.
One is rather rotund while the second is lazy.
We have two dogs, a Husky/Malamute cross who is bone idle and a Border collie.
The border collie would like to kill anything given half a chance and has had one rat but otherwise just not quick enough.
But, we cant use poison because of the risk both ours and the neighbours dogs.

I've bought an air gun which has proved success full in the past.
After watching 'some' of the video, I am wondering if they do a mobile service.

Thankfully, MornflakeOats have purchased the fields behind us to prevent any further development.

I haven't watched it, and from the descriptions, I won't be watching it either.

You need to be pretty fked in the head to get enjoyment out of watching animals suffer and die.
