If you like canals with a bit of history thrown in, you might like to watch these two blokes on their narrow-boat cruising the canals - better than those celebrity progs, IMO. --> Can We Rescue a Drowning Deer Trapped in a Canal Lock?

Quite fascinating. The way the Russians went about negotiation and prophetic in his observation of how isolation is unhelpful to a nation. Are you listening Donald.stevesingo said:

I was less impressed with his WWII era Japan piece, but if you're into history podcasts, he's always worth a listen. His WWI podcasts (called Blueprint for Armageddon) are truly epic:

Chasing Bubbles - really engrossing documentary about a young guy who drops everything and sails around the world (before all the celeb YouTube sailors) surprising ending
WOW, just watched it....what an inspirational film. Up there with the best documentaries I've seen. Really makes you think about your life and what’s important to you.Problem for me, after watching it, is that I'm 62 this year and so a little too late.
I did understand his difficulties after he completed the round the world trip.
I have traveled a great deal but by air and at someone else's expense.
After 22 years of travel and it completely stopping 3 years ago, I miss it so much and I've struggled to come to terms with the fact its over.
Compared though, he crammed my 22 years into 3 years.
60 is the new 40!
(Edited to add - had lunch with my Grandfather in laws ex-wife who was 40 when she met him at 70)
