Today I found out irregardless is an actual legit word. It means regardless.
Just like flammable and inflammable mean the same thing https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/flam...
Great Northern, for introducing "new" (i.e. new to them) trains on the Kings Lynn - Kings Cross route amid much fanfare this week. Well done, you might think. But no, not well done - this being Great Northern, these fabulous new trains have fewer seats on them than the old ones, so the aisle down the entire length of the train was full of people standing this morning.
Oh, and the invisible blinkers that people in the same carriage as me on the Piccadilly Line developed when I boarded this morning. It just so happens that I am OK standing, but I did think the buzzing of the oxygenator and the plastic tube leading from it to my nose might have prompted just one of the self-absorbed onanists to ask if I wanted a seat. It's no wonder so many non-Londoners think that London is a sthole.

Things that annoy me beyond reason, mmm, let me think, oh yes, Pistonheads 'banning' me from the news forum for 'quoting' someone elses text('he' wasn't banned?) in a thread regarding muslims, text i quoted was someone comparing the majority of 'peaceful' text in the bible, to the promoting of violence, intolerance in the Quoran.
Well done Pistonheads, way to go! As our friends across the pond would say, that one action of banning me from a forum i have been a member of for god knows how many years, must in someway be of some solace to the poor victims of the latest terrorus attack at the Manchester Arena??
I am utterly sick to the back teeth of Muslims period, their religion, the sympathisers among us, the promoters of terrorism living among us etc etc, sick of it!
But banning me from quoting someone else's text?? Well at least Pistonheads have done their bit, when are we going to do something about this?? Those poor families at Manchester, r. i. p! My heart goes out to you all!

The new trains do seem to be a lot smaller that the old ones.48Valves said:

Do I have any C++ experience? Hmmm... let me see. Your agency has placed me in senior C++ development roles in the past, the most recent being less than a year ago, so I would rather imagine that I do.
Actually, I could just reduce this post to "recruitment agents", but the above particularly annoyed me.

get an inbox about a role as a head of specialist BI - all fine so far - states he has looked at my profile and experience and id be a perfect fit. Day rate is reasonable if less than my current by c.20% but location is reasonable to counter this ... however he also includes the details which expressly advise any candidate needs to have X years SAP experience as a must ... now I've never used SAP, never mentioned it and never alluded to it
I message him back to say the spec states SAP and I don't have this so don't think he's really looked at my profile and that I'm not interested, thanks but no thanks (plus I'm happily employed currently) ... get a really arsey response back and then the tt blocks me ... what a total dick!

You do what??Anyways, two (yes, just two) things about SWMBO. Firstly, I might ask her if she wouldn't mind doing something, for instance, I have no phone signal at work, she does, is in a fairly senior position and thus doesn't need to worry about making personal calls so I might ask her if she could phone and book the car in for a service, or maybe something like pick something up from the shops on the way home (she works in town, I work in the sticks). OK she replies, no problem. I ask her later if she did the things I asked her to do:
'Sorry, forgot'
'Could you do it tomorrow then?'
'Well why can't you?'
'I guess I could, but it's trickier for me and you agreed to do it.'
''Well I won't have time tomorrow, why didn't you do it yourself if it's that important.'
'Because you agreed. What would be the point in asking you, hearing you agree, then doing it myself - the car would be booked for the same thing twice and we'd have two of the item you were going to pick up from the shops.'
'Well you could have just done it yourself then we wouldn't be having an argument about it.'
Every. Single. Time.
The second is our dishwasher. Throughout the day she'll take out the clean items she needs, be it a cup, cutlery, pots, whatever, but ONLY what she needs at that time instead of emptying it. Of course dishes build up so I go to fill the dishwasher back up to find it either hasn't been emptied or there's so little in there I start filling it up with clean stuff left in. Which is then my fault for not emptying it, which I should have done because no matter the size of meal or who's eating she has to use every single item of kitchenware we have. I swear she needs four pans, three wooden spoons, ten plates and fifteen different items of cutlery just for the two of us to have beans on toast of a lunchtime.
But she is lovely though...
