pork penetrates pudendum.

Sounds like a decent recipe. Does it require stuffing and sauce?

Being moaned at by Post Office staff for buying postage online rather than through them.

Apparently they don't get any money from Royal Mail for accepting pre-paid parcels, and as a customer I "should be supporting [my] local Post Office" by buying postage through them. Even though it's cheaper and more convenient online.

Whilst I sympathise with their situation, the internal workings of their company is not really my concern and they should moan at their superiors, not their customers.

I don't know why I used the useless shower of never-open st that is Royal Mail anyway - I've been trying to post this damn parcel since Friday and only just got it sent this lunchtime. If I'd used myHermes or Collect+ I could have sent it Friday evening. Or Saturday. Or even Sunday.

Oh yes - I've had that too, at a couple of offices. Submitted a complaint to Royal Mail.

Oddly enough both offices were always quiet and are now closed, whereas a third one nearby where the staff are always friendly and happy to accept prepaid items is always busy.

I only use Royal Mail for airmail, and even then only for stuff under 2kg. Anything else I use Hermes

Yes, same here. For a very narrow criteria of size and weight, RM are cheaper - just - than myHermes. But I'm starting to wonder if it is worth the hassle. yes

Edit: the one thing RM are good on is small high value items under 1kg in weight. Next day delivery, tracked, and insured up to £500, for a price of £8.55, which none of the couriers can match.

'sic'

If you know how to use it - that's one thing, but Latin verbs aren't really necessary on a car forum IMO. If you really feel you have to show off, then get it right.

Sic is not a verb. It's an adverb.

The quiz scoring system in Wetherspoons on a Monday night.

Yet again our score was recorded wrongly, meaning we were last with zero points, when we should have been 3rd or 4th.

I think the stuffing can be taken as read.

It annoys me when parents write a card (birthday for example) addressed to me, but from their baby. No, the baby clearly didn't write this, or even dictate it, did it.

I too am somewhat flummoxed by the "round number" fuel brigade. I guess it's more prevalent amongst older drivers as a habit from a time when cash was used much more frequently.
It's about Clubcard/Nectar card/whatever points efficiency wink
Tesco (pay at) pumps have a button you can press to hit a round pound figure.
For those with time on their hands, it's a bit of a challenge to get the round pound. The final squirt is the most difficult. When you are on the '99' even the lightest touch on the nozzle handle puts it over at '01'.

Baby is part of the family now, so a signature or other scribble is standard procedure for most parents. (and it's so cute!).

It gets worse! This one positively supercharged my OCD!!!

This sale Litres
11.99 10.00

or

This sale Litres
12.00 10.01

Would sir like to dispense 10 litres of diesel at a cost of £11.99, or would he like to go for £12 worth of diesel and get 10.01 litres? Recent "splash'n'dash" urgent top-up pending arrival at another filling station where I know it's a lot cheaper. (119.9 pence per litre was the price in this case).

Why ten litres/£12? Because I know roughly how far my car will go on ten litres, and it was comfortably enough to get to my "usual" forecourt where fuel is priced rather more attractively.

The decision to go with £12 to make paying quicker (too many historic cases of card fraud in local indy forecourts to risk using my card for fuel) felt like it took hours, as the counter lingered at 10.00 litres...

paperbag

It's my usual habit to just fill the car to the brim. Usually done somewhere I trust to not steal my card details, so I pay with card and round up to the full litre...

But they put their paw print on it and everything confused

Oh and the use of 'Baby' as a proper noun does my head in as well! furious

Although the ironic use of it as per the post is obviously perfectly acceptable

No irony intended. 'Baby' when referring to their new born child is used by most parents, amongst other things. And who, when having given birth and all that involves would give any serious consideration to syntax and grammar?

'Baby' would be verbal, not written.
