A bit council Vol 2

this isn't about the story, but the adults within it. Just cast your eyes on mum, who is 22 years of age. Just look at the state of her. At 22 you are in the prime of your life and should be beautiful, slim, toned, living life to the full. As for her partner- he's 38 but manages to look 58. Obviously the child has a stupid name: mckenzie, but we knew that would be the case.
This is what I'm on about: just look at the state of society these days: the "sheer sense of entitlement", everything is someone's fault. Why even go to the paper's ? A "normal" person would contact customer services to highlight there may be a perceived problem.
I'd argue the house is filthy and full of animals, a much more likely cause of a rash. Anyway, they'll get their £2.50 back from Aldi.

Washing your child with baby wipes rather than running them a bath - council/this isn't about the story, but the adults within it. Just cast your eyes on mum, who is 22 years of age. Depends how old the girl is too!
At what age do they graduate to black leggings then? And DS - you do realise if you keep mentioning her doing that, people will be asking for pics?

Both of them look older than me (him considerably). I'm 48.Back in 2009 I worked in my local Job Centre, where I met all sorts of people (never had a single cross word or nasty encounter with a "customer", I might add).
When I was first doing my training and "shadowing" a member of staff interviewing some claimants there was a couple came in. They'd been out of work for years - 20+, it was the worst case I saw. They were looking old and decrepit, and I nearly said to them "well at least you won't need to come in soon as you'll go on to automatic signing" (happens at 60).
Luckily I didn't, and when they'd signed on and gone the lady I was is told me they were 38! They looked a bad 58 - unbelievable. She said it was fairly common with the really really long term unemployed; they age really really fast and this was borne out over the time I worked there, though they were the worst I saw.

Going back to Holme Wood, the partner of a friend of mine is up in arms because the taxi driver would not take her back to her house the quickest way because it meant driving through Holme Wood. Apparently there are traffic calming measures there. which is where the local chavs lie in wait, to ambush the taxi drivers and rob them, as with bus drivers. Getting to the point where bus and taxi drivers will refuse to enter the estate.
Edit to add- Cab drivers often refer to the estate as "Beirut".

Dogstar: I have asked ladies over the years, when their babies were due: to be told.......
I'm not pregnant- I'm just fat.
But I know what you mean about looking old, young.
Equally when allocating social housing ( for those that don't know) most bungalows and often careline type linked flats are restricted to those >55 years. Can sometimes be 60.
the amount of people in their late 40's or into their 50's that genuinely argue that they are retired and thus eligable is literally unbelievable. I'll quite happlily say to people- but I don't understand: you're not due to retire until at least your mid-60's- you've at least 20 odd years of work ahead of you......
they just don't get it. Once they get the disability money rolling in, they've hit benefits gold and they're sorted. You can "retire" then in your 40's. Every husband or wife is a "carer". No- it's called being married and looking after your spouse.
