Having mates instead of friends is certainly leaning in the council direction.
Calling your 5 year old "mate" or "buddy" - definitely council

Good call. In fact I'd say that any of those multicoloured kids cars, castles etc are council. Basically if you can envisage them in the front garden of a council house, sun bleached and covered in dog st then they're council.

I know it's been done up the thread, but 'local cheeky chappie dies in tragic car accident shocker'.

http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/reading-berkshire...

This caused traffic chaos in Reading last week. Overnight the ubiquitous roadside shrine emerged with flowers, football shirts tied to lamp posts (Man Utd ones obviously, even though he's born & bred in Reading) and, I noticed this morning, five unopened cans of Fosters left there over the weekend, presumably for his recently departed spirit to get on it on Saturday night.

What it fails to mention is that this fine upstanding citizen was either driver or passenger in a stolen Citroen C1, TWOC'd from a short distance away earlier that night. The BiB are still investigating whether he was solo or A N Other did a runner from the scene.

The Getreading Facebook page is full of illiterate plaudits of how much of a gr8 m8 he was and is now sleepin' wiv da angles, and anybody who remotely suggests that he was actually a thieving scumbag who wouldn't have met his maker if he wasn't so light fingered is of course viciously flamed.

So yeah, public displays of affection for recently departed car thieves = council.

The sister of my sister in law introduced her new boyfriend to her family a few weeks ago, he was invited round for dinner, arrived with a bottle, as you do when you have been invited round for dinner; a 2l bottle of White Lightning, not for everyone else though, just for him!

Jesus! I don't anticipate that relationship ending well.

Austin, that's a disappointing post. I expect more tales of utter councility and facepalm whenever I see you contribute. You are the Jesus of Counciland, bringing your stories to the masses.
