I have a relative that sits there on benefits, I hadn't seen her for a while and we were chatting when she said it's pay day soon, I said oh you have a job now and she said no my benefits are due.

She thinks it's wages, they all think it's wages.
Wages = Council

If she can save three grand out of benefits, then benefits are too generous. There's some third party income going on there.
I bet you could find that same photo on Adultwork.

I figured that 'training for a pretend job' equated to 'doesn't have a job'.
That is a good point

I couldn't quite believe that was a word.

But apparently it is.

Probably Korben, as in 5th Element.

Not the most council film but naming your child after a movie character is council.

Just watched the Channel 4 documentary about the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel. Suites that are pretty much standard can cost £7,000 per night and the Royal Suite is £20,000 per night. Yet at breakfast one guest was shown photographing their food on the plate - presumably it would be soon uploaded on facebook. Council gets everywhere.

Oh dear, my youngest is called Eleanor,(partly) after the Mustang in Gone in 60 Seconds. Does that count?

Hopefully countering that my eldest is named (partly) after a 12th century abbess, author, scholar, and tragic lover smile

rofl - was showing the original thread comments on this lovely lady to Mrs.T66 last night (including my own, er, Shakespearean contributions about the lady in blue) and you've posted her again. Great timing.

Never did find out who she was though. moan

Still utterly fabulous. cloud9

I once worked with someone whose grandson was called Atticus, after the lead in To Kill A Mockingbird. Too highbrow to be council?

I have seen a few cars around (particularly cheap, st things) with "my family" stickers on the back, that have matchstick like figures that seem to represent the people/animals in that family??

Very naff and council and why would anyone give a fk that you've got 2 kids and a dog??!! Bizarre.

It did make me chuckle though, when I saw a beat-up old Ford Ranger pick-up with a " My Family" sticker which then showed 5 guns starting with a fking great rifle down to a handgun! hehe

Naming him after a fictional character rather than the various historical figures of the same name - council.
