I read this article and what I want to know is, why did nobody think to ask for a roll of duct tape to cover over the "offending" words during the flight, rather than spend several thousand pounds to rebook an inconvenience everyone? I'd suggest that duct tape is widely available at all airports and I know of at least 2 rolls at East Midlands Airport.
Surely it would have just been easier to go to the toilet and take the offending shirt off, turn it inside out and then put it on again so it would have been plain black.

What I want to know, is why you didn't think of suggesting the wearing of the T-shirt inside out, rather than spend money and go around the airport at an inconvenience to everyone...

Because duct tape is the answer to most of the problems in my life, it has clouded my judgement on other matters

The article claims the women were warned more than once to get changed, they choose not to comply. Zero sympathy here.
They had hand luggage they had choice.

Ah, sorry, I read the article elsewhere, where this was not specifically mentioned.

Which of course means that - the women were just too obstinate to do anything reasonable and instead decided the best course of action was to complain to the newspapers and spend thousands of pounds.

Which brings us back to the main point being that the whole debacle is truly council

Full blown mullet rat tail ... accompanied by the proverbial council staffy, wheelchair user and zimmerframe user ...

Ah the joys of being sat outside longbenton farmfoods (I am aware of the ultra council-ness of it all)

Between pictures 4-5 did a kebab shop open next door to them? They've both ballooned at the same rate. I actually thought, 'yeah, not bad' then swiftly 'oh!'

Council ahoy!

Doesn't Thorpe Park offer single rider queues that speed things up? Use that, you have to sit alone but that's not the end of the world. Or buy a fast track ticket.

Or perhaps leave somebody with the child.....

But nip out for dinner with your mates in Portugal and the world will give you sympathy. (just playing devils advocate)

Not sure that qualifies as Council actually, as she's taking responsibility for what goes on in her environment.

Bit odd, sure, but good luck to her; anyone that stands up to anti-social behaviour gets my vote.

If you mistook her for a copper with a speed gun , you should lose your licence for being blind, not speeding!

Being the theme park person I am, they (and all Merlin parks) do a parent swap where one queues then after they are done, they swap and the other adult gets straight on the ride without queueing so the child is looked after without penalising the parents
