Just because it's popular doesn't mean 'council'.

It's great for the british weather, easily Karcher'd off winter grime and still looks good several years down the line.

Getting it on credit or payday loan would be, however. It's a tightrope...
Not on credit but how about buying out from B&M Bargains?

Now where's me trachhhhy bottoms?

Your banking on people going to the trouble of keeping it clean and washing the mould off it after winter. I expect to see it appear again on this list by the end of next summer, along with punctured paddling pools from the previous summer, and still having last years Christmas lights on the outside of the house.

I think it will be a few more years until it crosses over. Everything popular gets there eventually, but some take longer than others.

A few more years for rattan, a few more still and the ubiquitous bi-fold doors will probably get there as well.

If I had any need for a car with more than five seats, I'd probably get a Zafira VXR

It has to be better than a diesel Espace or Galaxy

I must be council, B&M is only place I can find milk chocolate shorties biscuits and only place I can buy a box of Lucky Charms for £3.50!

O/T - I see in today's business news that Asda is bidding to buy B&M. Truly a coming together of council Goliaths!

7 seats, not classed as an mpv and unless Mr Khan has been near it, not Council. Also comes with added man points.

I wouldn't really directly compare them though....both would be a good combination but in isolation I think a Zafira would be more useful to me than a Defender

I like both really

ETA: I already have an Astra H and the Zafira B is just a seven seat version of that

But awful on a mway and fk all use at keeping up with traffic in more than a 50mph environment unless you like being deafened and shaken like Billy-O

Sadly it's all fixed in.

Truly awful.

Dinosaur eggs, are they council now? Is that the biggest wheelbarrow known to man? (or a seat?).

Unless you lived on a farm why would you buy a Defender, when a LandCruiser does everything it does, but better?

The Zafira B is a minibus in terms of driver enjoyment, but in terms of sheer practicality per pound it's unbeatable. My dad has one that he uses to ferry the grandkids around on the School Run and even after 7 years it looks reasonably new.

It's not though is it? Unless you really need to do a slow/extreme off-road thing, they are st in every other way. You certainly wouldn't want to crash in one, and you would struggle to avoid a collision that you could see because you can't steer in a hurry as they have no fking elbow room, and you certainly couldn't accelerate away from one, because they don't accelerate in any way shape or form.

Utterly st unless you're a farmer, and even then there's a few more sensible choices.

I think they look awesome, but never driven one. A bit like a super model I guess, great to look at but a nightmare to live with. It was the first vehicle I could think of with more than 5 seats that's not an mpv. I had no idea they were so divisive! laugh

Seeing that, I stick by my comment that they look awesome. Very un-council, even if they are (allegedly wink) crap to drive. Only council when, like I said earlier, Mr Khan has ruined it.

It's a seat that shakes like it's on it's last legs.
That is a outdoor hot tub next to it.
