Here's a fess up to start the roundup of volume 2, so they disappear in to the midst.
Couldn't be bothered to cook so Chinese is ordered. Minor infringement
Visiting father-out-law decides to join me to collect.
Here he is (or rather here is his bottom half)
Yup, sat waiting in the takeaway in slippers
Hate it when my inlaws/any member of her family tries to join me on the takeaway run- That's my only time to myself over the whole weekend dammit! And they insist on talking over the TV...Couldn't be bothered to cook so Chinese is ordered. Minor infringement

Don't think I have ever been in a takeaway that had a carpeted floor ... unless it's a restaurant that also does takeout but then that's not a takeaway Shirley?
Those slippers aren't too bad either though, least from a few feet away they just look like moccasins
Agreed 100% on the takeaway runtime being peaceful alone time too!!

Parking a caravan longer than your town house driveway on said driveway and crashing into your own house is council I think?
Jeez, is that stored there permanently like that or just temporarily, it being holiday time? Where I live there is a covenant on the properties that prevents storage of caravans and motorhomes, so I have the pleasure of forking out £550 a year to store our tiny three-berth Eriba away from the home, so I don't look Council (even though some may say all caravans are Cahncil!)

Pretty sure I read something similar when we bought our house. Does not stop anyone. Not that it bothers me.Where I live there is a covenant on the properties that prevents storage of caravans and motorhomes, so I have the pleasure of forking out £550 a year to store our tiny three-berth Eriba away from the home, so I don't look Council (even though some may say all caravans are Cahncil!)

In our experience most housing areas built since the 50s have that covenant just most don't abide by it sadlyWhere I live there is a covenant on the properties that prevents storage of caravans and motorhomes, so I have the pleasure of forking out £550 a year to store our tiny three-berth Eriba away from the home, so I don't look Council (even though some may say all caravans are Cahncil!)

They just live in completely the wrong house.
Thankfully for us this isn't our forever home, it's a temporary rental while we save up and buy somewhere with no / less / quieter neighbours.

Correct. Our new-ish (2011) build estate has rules about sign written vans and caravans. Both of which are completely ignored. The most blatant of which, and probably one for the bad parking thread, is a chap with a large (must be 20') caravan that he parks along the road from his house. Rather than spoil his own view, or take up "his" parking space, he parks a hundred yards down the road in front of some flats instead. Should he need to move his people carrier from outside his house, he puts a wheelie bin in it's place. Spice_Weasel said:
I've got a council double-bill coming up this week. Legoland on Wednesday followed by Chessington World of Adventures on Thursday.
The kids want to go and we are making the most of our Merlin passes (which won't be displayed on lanyards around our necks. That crap went in the bin straight away).
I may post late next week if I'm still sane.
We went semi-council last week on visit to Legoland. Our 5 and half year old daughter loves it and is tall enough and brave enough to do all the rides, so we're happy to tolerate it twice a year as it won't last forever. The kids want to go and we are making the most of our Merlin passes (which won't be displayed on lanyards around our necks. Last August Bank Holiday we thought we'd give Chessington a try and my god I wish we hadn't. It was so council it hurt. Bench/McKenzie branded tracksuits everywhere, scrawny Reebok-classic wearing husbands/partners/carers/feeders shuffling around alongside a sweating, swearing, vaping, elephantine blob of indeterminate gender and their several children who were either malnourished or heading towards Type 2 diabetes aged 8 – nothing in between.
The whole place is looking very tired and the rides are poor. Never again.
My thoughts are with you.
