I can agree with you on that. I had a Griff complete with gold medallion, we didn't need to carry golf clubs round to impress.

I think a good steer in this context means ride, probably a hang over from the wild west days with the reference more to horses.

I could have made that up though.

"Aero" when used to describe spoilers, road holding and stuff.
