Astra Van Man aka Mr Delusional; sad individual.
Way worse than most Walts - he has the potential to do people real harm. There are quite a few threads about him on various forums including Police Community where he is being discussed along with a photo of his fake NHS hospital ID badge. He uses various fake names.
He has been in trouble numerous times for hanging around Hospitals and A&E departments pretending to be staff.
He also complained to OFCOM about his appearance on Police Interceptors but was unsuccessful.
He is generally regarded as a serious Walt who will hurt someone at some point.
He was convicted last year of trespassing in the head quarters of the London Ambulance Service in order to steal documents containing protocol, call signs, emergency telephone numbers and suchlike:

Surely for these fake paramedic people it's mental illness of some kind - true obsession and delusion
Yeah, he really does need some help.Maybe after the appropriate counselling and with a good level of support he'll be able to sleep with both eyes closed.
I'd direct his energies and enthusiasm elsewhere, maybe get him to focus on his fitness?
Physical health is closely linked to mental health so perhaps encourage him to take up running, with the goal of achieving satisfaction by competing in a LIVE MARATHON or similar.

You find that funny?!? The idea of providing assistance to a hero is funny to you?Entitled motorists like you need more education as to what some of us are out there doing day-in day-out on your behalf. Maybe then you average members of the public would understand?
To help I have written a song - ideal for the acoustic guitar or sung with a soft rock background.
It's called 'Next Time' and it goes a bit like this:
Next time, next time, next.....time....woooaah,
Next time I give up my Boxing day to answer a callout to ferry district nurses through floodwater to their housebound patients, I'll remember your kind words.
Your kind words, yeaahhh your kind words,
Next time, neeeext time oh,
Next time I spend all day standing in the pouring rain, copping vile abuse from entitled members of the public who think they can ignore an approved road closure put in place for the safety of a St George's Day parade, I'll remember your kind words.
Those kind words, those kind words, your kind words....oh yeah.
CHORUS:
But hey, what would I know? I'm only a member of a highly professional organisation, trained by time served off road instructors, that the normal emergency services often turn to for volunteer manpower, or logistical help in extreme circumstances. So whhhhaaattt would I know-eee-ooow.
Next time, next time--ee-yime-ee-oh,
Next time I'm running late for work, but stop to tow a broken down car off a dangerous busy road to a nearby carpark, I'll remember your kind words.
Such kind words, your kind words ooooo words.
Next time man, next time girl, next time man in the streeeeet,
Next time I spend a snowy Christmas sober, sleeping with one eye on my phone, I'll remember your kind words.
CHORUS
Neeeeeexxxt tiiiiimmee, ohhhh, next time!
The next time a handful of people work tirelessly to extract thousands of cars from a rain-soaked festival, I'm sure they'd be overjoyed to hear your kind words.
The words they can hurt, can you feel the words, are they kind? Uh-yeah!
Guitar solo.
Yeah break it down - the major event.
CHORUS: But hey, what would I know? I'm only a member of a highly professional organisation, trained by time served off road instructors, that the normal emergency services often turn to for volunteer manpower, or logistical help in extreme circumstances.
Next time next time.
I'll remember..... your... kind ......words. Wwooooohh yeah.
I hope that helps you understand the sacrifice made by us.
Makes you think, yeah?

Ha! Lucky you! Some helpful sod reminded me on my birthday last week that it was 35 years to the day since Invincible and Hermes set sail from Portsmouth for Ascension. Christ it made me feel old - I can remember watching it on the news as a kid.
I had similar with 9/11 last year and a friend's 15 years old son pointing out that he wasn't alive when that happened. I'd swear it was just a couple of years ago, I really don't know where the time goes.Jonmx said:

I don't want to make this a "was it really that long ago?" thread, but I was surprised last year when talking about Eurovision and someone asked when the UK last won. I said it was 1997 in Dublin and the receptionist pointed out she hadn't been bornWhilst we are talking about imposters, the fake-falklands-dude has nothing on this wierdo:

Given the military twist in conversation, have we had airsofters yet? The video is one of the saddest things I've watched ( I lasted about 20 seconds).

I accept that it's a bit like paintball, but having seen these guys in action, they are something else!
