Another video from the king of walts.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jNmnDLEX1o

''"Where's my badge, Ronia!?!"
"I have my badge and my identification in the car!"
"This guy is a police officer."
"I'm doing this because you're an officer, correct?" ["Yes, sir."]
"He's a state certified Federal agent."

If anyone is unable to see it, here’s a screenshot I took:

That’s from a dashcam mounted in the usual position behind the rearview mirror, on a Nissan Terrano

yikes

How fking special do you need to be to even attempt that?!
From 7:48 to 7:57 the windscreen is completely below the waterline. I reckon he thinks he's Captain Nemo.

Yeah, a chopper hits the water its game over.
No it isn’t. Plenty of examples of people getting out.

He’s being lauded on Facebook as a bit of a hero for such derring-do, and praised for his “advanced driving”, mind you, a lot of the chat is local comments from local people ;-)
Just goes to show though how sheltered most people’s lives are if they can’t even recognise the risks when they’re glaringly obvious.

The infamous goldfish club, for people who've crashed an aircraft into the sea.

These fine chaps rescued a woman from the floods. Not a 4x4 or hi-vis in sight, how did they do it?

Oh my Christ, that’s giving me PTSD right there, especially with the chop set to max, and the strobes going eeklaugh. But you’ll never get to the rigs if you haven’t taken a bath first.

hehe Loved the sound of water sloshing around in the footwells when he pulled up at the end, and him complaining "oh, me arse is wet" as, presumably, the water level inside the car got above the seats. I hope his heater and fan are good, because he's going to be having some condensation issues for a while yet...

The rigs out in the sea, all alone, away from all the wives and full of burly men? And you say you have to get your chopper wet BEFORE you get there? I’m amazed people still work as hairdressers, airline pilots and truckers when the oil industry beckons. wink

You want to rephrase that?
Perhaps you meant flight attendants, (although I’m sure that that’s a sweeping generalisation, or urban myth), and as a heterosexual ex trucker, why truckers? rolleyes

Frank. Sometimes people will reference common stereotypes, without any true belief or intention to offend. It's the internet. Relax!

You've obviously never watched a flight crew walking through an airport, with the pilot and first officer competing for the "who's got the campest walk" trophy.

Airline pilot is the ultimate white collar ‘trucking’ job. Leave the beard and kids at home and stop overnight in locations with a suspiciously anomalous supply of male entertainment all wrapped in a facade of excessive manliness.
