Creed Silver Mountain Water is lovely. Even more lovely was the price £130 for 100mls the other day on allbeauty.com
Love that stuff. It or GIT for weekdays, something a bit more "Oud Wood" or "Tuscan Leather" for nights out.

Anyone tried Tom Ford - fking Fabulous?
I'm a big fan of TF private blends but FF is one of the worst, very cheap and nasty.
Yeah it's not the best. I prefer TV and Ombre Leather. The FF was a non starter when the Mrs said it was rank.
That's interesting, thanks for the feedback. The reviews I've read online are quite polarising. Even a tiny tester is £££. Don't think I'll bother.

Never really liked any of the Tom Ford stuff for some reason.

I am wearing Royal Mayfair today, I chop and change my mind a lot but I really think this is my all time favourite.
I know people really rate Tobacco Vanille but wasn't my cup of tea. Opening was far too sickly sweet with vanilla and took a long time to 'settle'.

I have just bought my wife Black Orchid, hope she likes it.

I do like a few Tom Ford scents. Oud Wood, Patchouli Absolu and Neroli Portofino all smell pretty good to me. I have a bottle of Grey Vetiver but prefer Creed Original Vetiver if I'm honest.

Also for those that like Creed Silver Mountain Water but find it a bit much after a while, Xerjoff Casamorati 1888 Mefisto is very similar but dries down a lot smoother.

As I was in Milan it seemed only right to pick up some Aqua Di Parma Essenza - relaly like the fragrance although its an EDC not an EDP which in my book makes 130 gbp for 180ml quite expensive.

Collection now stands at;

TF Neroli Portofino (100ml - treated myself)
TF Sole Di Positano
TF Costa Azzura
TF Tobacco Vanille
TF Jasmin Rouge
TF Santal Blush
TF Black Orchid
TF Noir
TF Extreme
TF Grey Vetever
Molton Brown Caju and Lime

I really should settle on coupe for day / night / work / social and stop buying them laugh

Tabac today. Lasts quite well and smells just like I remember.

Yesterday was an Old Spice day.

Who is still having a spray of aftershave even if they are just working from home during lockdown. I have to admit I have continued with this daily ritual just to maintain some normality. Spicebomb workhorse for me.

I have a few times as it's nice to smell nice even if it's only for myself.

Running low on Himalaya, need to get some more of that shortly. Anyone got a non-Creed recommendation to try from Tom on the next order..?

I've worked from home for over 10 years so not a lot has changed other than not doing the school run, I'm economising and just using No4711 daily and saving the better stuff for things like funerals.

I do out of habit. Just a part of the get up, shower, get dressed routine. I’ve got far too many samples and splits lying around to not use them.

Just finished a split of Set Sail St Barts which is really good for summer. I’ll have to get another.

I bought a bottle of TF Nerolo Portofino in duty free on an outbound flights a while ago and when I tried to use it the sprayer is defective. Duty Free wouldn’t swap it on arrivals and as I live in a different country, posting it was a massive pain. Any thoughts on what my best options are for breaking into the bottle and decanting it?

Angle grinder with a slitting disc is your best option.

That's what I used when the Asda delivery van dropped off my online shopping grocery order including a litre bottle of Famous Grouse with the security tag thing still on it.

But make sure you wear your safety goggles, safety boots, leather apron and stout gauntlets.

I have a quick spray before I go to bed too, like to smell nice all the time even though it's only the Mrs & the cats that can smell me sometimes smile

Sometimes I really cannot tell when this thread is being serious or is some sort of satire.

If serious, it's like a concentrated watch thread.

I wouldn’t say it’s serious but most posts are straight enough. If it points interested people towards trying out new things like Tom’s Decants or the basenotes splits and it saves them money then it’s fine by me.

There’s usually a pisstake every page or so, some funny but most along the lines of Brut/Old Spice/Hai Karate etc.

If you think this is OTT, take a look at basenotes which even has a whole subforum on one scent.

Who cares if it is? If he wants to scoot some aftershave on before bed, all power to him, imo.

He's not harming anyone.
