Each to their own but Irish Tweed is female field proof tested *cough* and to be perfectly honest about it is rare to find a match where both sexes will say 'yeah that is really nice' across a broad range, Irish Tweed is one of those.

YMMV.
I find Aventus like that. It smells great, men love it, women love it, all good. There's plenty of popular fragrances like Sauvage which I don't particularly like and wouldn't wear but the smell isn't offensive. Then there's Green Irish Tweed. I can't imagine many woman wanting a second date if I rocked up smelling like that.

40.

...and the age range of females who have complimented me on GIT has been from 20's upwards.

I'm genuinely surprised that GIT is seen as old man aftershave.

sorry dude, with your choice in trainers i thought you was older biglaugh

has anyone noticed, and i might have mentioned it before, but how sample sprays at a shop seem to linger for ages yet you buy the bottle, wear it and it disappears after 5 minutes (yeah i know we spoke about the nose acclimatization thing already)

im quite tempted to get a bottle of CK1 for sts and giggles though one guy last weekend must just have washed his shirt as that clean smell overpowered everything

Still desperately unfunny mate. Why not just have a seat over there and be quiet, eh?

anyone got experience of recent adventus creed?

Ive read recent batches have been very poor compared to previous, Mainly that it fades away very quickly.

I previously got a decant from somewhere, And it was very good, Most recent decant I had from toms decants about 9 months ago was quite poor in comparison. Dont know if its time to move onto something else.

I barely wear my most recent bottle. It's nowhere near as good as it was a few years ago. Check out Atelier Cologne Musc Imperial for a cheaper and imo nicer 'Aventus'.

Probably worth pointing out that olfactory fatigue is definitely a thing - at the risk of stating the obvious.

Having said that, I don't wear Aventus enough to properly discern the difference between batches.

Tried a few Tom Fords the other day. They ranged from soap to a bad copy of Issey Mayake.

Not impressed with any of them.

Saindoux Homme by Cacharel Paris. A favourite of James Corden, apparently.

I've found they can be a bit intense initially but settle down after a while into something very nice. I hated Tobacco Vanille when it first went on but after about 30 mins it was lovely.

At first, I was using Nivea post shave balm mostly because it was the only decent one I could find in a local store. Later I discovered Old Spice which was really nice. I also keep Givenchy and Aventus it for special occasions. Though nowadays I rarely shave because I'm trying to grow a beard and thus I use beard oils. I prefer either fragrance free or castor scented oils.
