Are there any low priced aftershaves that are wearable?

I doff my hat to those who pay £230+ for the aftershaves mentionned above but really looking for something a bit more affordable.
I wouldn't spend £230 on a single bottle either - in addition to the recommendations above, consider buying splits from Tom: https://tomscreeddecants.bigcartel.com/

Rotating between them a 10, 20 or 30ml for £20-30+ each lasts ages and I'd rather have variety. Tom is legit.

I have a bottle of Hugo Boss Elements which is my all time favourite. I've owned it for over 20 years and I'm saving the last drop for that special occasion.

Wish they'd bring it out again.
there is quite the grey market on ebay for boss elements.

re: Creed, I think the idea is that they want you to pony up for the shower gel, oil, moisturiser and also previously, the deodorant stick. Looks like they have pulled the deodorant sticks again.

Anyway, in 2019 your base entry to get the same effect as per 2014 is now approx 500 sheets.

I am about half way through my first Acqua Di Azzenza run but as you can get it on 40% discount sale I will probably stick with it as my daily for 2020 as I can get into the spray, deodorant and shower gel at a price level which won't make a Russian Oligarch sweat.

I did look on Ebay for Boss Elements....probably snide.

Picked up today from Notino

Aqua di Gio - Giorgio Armani
Encre Noir - Lalique

Smells very woody and smokey this Encre Noir. Sometimes feel/smell like i've been in a forest fire from the quick spray on my hand

I have to ask if people who used to like Aventus but aren't keen on it now, is it because it's a lot more popular than it used to be and doesn't feel as special, hence a change in opinion? I'm wearing it right now and it really is a pleasant smell; it's distinctive but not over powering / offensive to others and smells really fresh and clean. It was the aftershave that sent me down the rabbit hole of expensive aftershave that I'm never going to escape from and is one I will always have with me, great scent.

Yes, way too popular now and lots of cheap copies available. I still wear Aventus occasionally, but not for the same reason that I used to wear it.

Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte today. Very nice and fresh.

The copies thing is bizarre. You can buy a 10ml decant to last you a month for under £20, so why buy something fake? Weird imo.

Fully expecting the pi$$ to be taken but

Brut

Because my Dad wore it in his younger days, I always liked the smell and every time I put it on it reminds me of him (he's not dead)

I've had a few favourable comments from women, about the smell

Maybe their dad's used to wear it biggrin

Brut smells great but its massive popularity almost defines a generation, much like Kouros or Acqua di Gio. My Dad wore all three over the years (now departed).

I can't resist an occasional sniff but wouldn't wear it.

Today I'm wearing Tauer's L'air du Desert Marocain. Spicy and sherbet-ty, probably my favourite overall.

This being PH, and given how we love the technical details...

hehe good question. Behind each ear, once on the wrist and then close my eyes and spray two or three times directly on to my face. My missus thinks that's weird laugh

Eau de toilette - neck
(Wrists is a perfume thing for ladies!)

After shave - splashed on face

Got some Tom Ford Oud Wood for my birthday today, which I have been coveting for a while.

Also ordered some Guerlain Vetiver from TK Maxx - without ever having smelled it. Anyone know what it is like? I just need something to use every day (Tom Ford is far too expensive for that ...).

Right, have been working my way through my latest bottle of Aventus, and frankly it’s hugely disappointing... I’m sure it was longer lasting than this a few years ago.

What’s the recommendation for the “best” clone of this, as I’m buggered if I’m spending another £180 on something this poor, but I do like the smell (when it’s around!).

Another one for a p*ss take probably but remember my Dad wearing Aqua Di Selva in the early 70s. Loved the smell so searched it out and its still available. Mixed reviews though saying its not the same as people remember it and doesn't last long. ( bear in mind i still use Brut and Old Spice...)

I'm wearing Aventus today, and I agree that it doesn't have the same oomph as the stuff from a few years back.

It's not olfactory fatigue either, coz I only ever wear Aventus once or twice a month.

The next bit is probably gonna be controversial, but I purchased the best sellers bundle from Copycat about a month ago.

Aventus was part of the bundle but I ignored it since I have the real stuff. A couple of weeks ago I decided to try it anyway.

...and you know what? I reckon it's better than real Aventus and lasts longer. Well, versus the batches of late, anyway.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armaf-Club-Nuit-Intense-105ml/dp/B00M3IFUMK

gets mentioned alot, various youtube videos etc.

I definitely get the creed smell from it but just not as pure, Previously I mentioned it was about 70% there, Lasts longer than my old creed but that really didnt take much beating, God knows what they have done with it.

Someone at work cakes themselves in this. It's quite an offensive Aventus smell.. but very Aventus, if that makes sense?
