If anyone has 15 mins to waste and wants to learn more about the different years and batches of Aventus tested against Emperor Extrait, then this is actually quite informative:

Interesting video, thanks for linking.https://youtu.be/ZrF-A7TnfRI
My Aventus batch is 17R01.
Emperor Extrait ordered, will plan to daily it.
Any good Tom Ford clones out there?

I might have bite the bullet with this Emperor Extrait, I was going to order a sample off their website but with the shipping costs it was gonna be nearly £20, so I may as well just buy the whole bottle...
I'll split with you if you like?Lord Marylebone - great call on this, and based on your posts I've purchased both Emperor Extrait and Emerald Isle. Arrived fast, and both smell fantastic.
Emperor Extrait - I can't really distinguish from Aventus (been wearing it for years, mainly picking up small amounts from now closed TCDecants).
Emerald Isle - extremely close to Green Irish Tweed, with a hint of Himalaya at the end.

y first, and favourite, Aventus was the one that had a nice vanilla dry down. Anyone know which of the Emperor series would match that? Virtually all Aventus I’ve purchased since has been something of a let down, and the new smaller sizes make me feel it’s not good value any more…
They have a chart of the options here: https://www.parfumsvintage.com/aventus
Now, I want to stress I have only tired ‘Extrait’ so I’m not an expert, but it looks to me like ‘Maximus Extrait’ is the one with the bigger vanilla note while still being in the true Aventus clone range. They also do an outright ‘Vanilla intense’.
Maybe worth sending them a message to ask?

One of my fave threads on here.
The Bentley Intense can be had for £23.80 delivered (UK mainland) atm from Notino, just ordered myself.
(Even cheaper if you buy 2!)
I looked at their site and it seemed a bit too good to be true, some google searches then revealed talk of them selling fakes and them being "untrusted" but in contrast there were lots of positive reviews. Please come back and let us know how it goes as I quite fancy giving this stuff a go and as a cheapskate I'd like to save a few extra quid if I can

It‘s the site I used to get mine in Switzerland. I don‘t have anything to compare it to, but the packaging and bottle all look legit and the smell seems to last as long as you‘d expect for an EdP.Please come back and let us know how it goes as I quite fancy giving this stuff a go and as a cheapskate I'd like to save a few extra quid if I can
ordered and received the following samples from Parfume Vintage
Sequitur (Tom Ford Black Orchid)
Pineapple Vintage Intense (Creed Av)
Emperor Maximus Extract (Creed Av)
Emperor Extract (Creed Av)
Only tried Sequitur on skin so far.
Smells very similar to TFOB edp, seems to have some longevity as well (sprayed it on around 11am, can still smell it now) but could also be that im not used to the smell of late (forgotten what that word is). According to the instructions, 3 sprays from the sample bottle = 1 spray from the main bottle and so ive just used the '1' spray
Ive had several other Aventus over the years from Toms Decants and got some still from last(?) year so will be able to compare the 3 others to that. Though last years 'sample' from Tom is less pineappley than the first 1 i got
Will try the others 1 each per day and will report back if people are interested?

Notino is a legit website.
Thanks for the reassurances, I've ordered a bottle, £22.90 due to the £0.90 saving from opting for non-eco packaging, sorry dolphins.I've been looking for a new daily that's not all lemons and lightness so hopefully this will do the trick, cheers.
