Today am wearing Parfums Vintage Soir Extrait which is supposed to be inspired by Roja Elysium. Opening very citrusy and sharp. Settles down after some time quite nicely. Never smelt the original so can't comment on how accurate a replica it is. People seem to rave about Elysium on the YouTube fragrance channels though.
Few days ago I tried PV Splendiferous which is inspired by Kilian Angels Share. Quite a 'rich' fragrance, can definitely smell the cinnamon. For me, more an autumn/winter scent.

It's a classic for a reason, really nice and long lasting too.
I've just busted out the summer Tom Ford of choice -Neroli Portofino
I hear the weakness with Neroli Portofino is that it doesn't last very long. Frustrating given that it's rather expensive. Had a sample of it a while back, will have to try it again.I've just busted out the summer Tom Ford of choice -Neroli Portofino
My default summer go to is D&G Light Blue (Intense).

Soir Extrait was one of my samples and I really like it.
I’m also on the Parfums Vintage bandwagon today. It’s a Friday and it’s sunny so I’m wearing PV’s ‘Isla Tropical’. Absolutely love it. So much that I have to actually stop myself wearing it most days, and pick something more suitable for office/meetings etc
Difficult to tell the difference between Isla Tropical and Virgin Island Water, but IT has a more pronounced zesty lime note to it, which I really appreciate over VIW. I own both but honestly can’t see myself buying VIW again. IT is better in my opinion, and a whopping £108 per bottle less than VIW. No contest.

Am working through the samples and trying to cross reference with their 'OE' inspiration.

It lingers on my clothes for days. My frustration with it is I got a dodgy bottle that doesn‘t squirt, so I have to pump it a load of times and apply the liquid directly to my skin. I‘m going to have to find a way to break into the bottle and decant it. The suggestion earlier in this thread of an angle grinder seems a little extreme and even if I owned one, I suspect would lead to total loss!alabbasi said:

Absolutely. Barely anything is more naff or cringe than car manufacturer branded tat.
Why disclose that information? It is merely my opinion, and I was stating that I feel that car manufacturer branded ‘lifestyle’ products and clothing are, on the whole, usually naff or cringeworthy.
I’m not sure I understand your point.

I had never heard of Parfums Vintage until a couple of months ago, and usually I would ignore any copycat type fragrance producers, but I then realised that their products were getting great reviews on fragrance discussion sites, and some of the more respected fragrance reviewers on YouTube kept mentioning them. From what I have read they use high quality ingredients and have a competent perfumer who is happy to talk about the batches, the inspirations and the tweaks they make to formulations.Am working through the samples and trying to cross reference with their 'OE' inspiration.
I am extremely happy with what I have purchased from them so far.
Their quality may go down the pan next week, but it appears they have been around for 6 years now and seem to be doing well. I’m certainly going to try some more from them.

Why tell them that you're wearing car brand cologne? If it's a nice scent and unique, just wear it, enjoy it and let them enjoy it too. IME if you're wearing a nice fragrance that someone compliments they'll usually want to know what it is.Lord Marylebone said:

Speaking of which, gone off Jeremy Fragrance. Not sure whether he's had a break down or something. Regardless, there's only so many times you can review Aventus or Acqua di Gio Profumo!

From the man himself:
"I’m taking a bit of a break, it’s always been a hobby of mine and to let people try different stuff. It takes up a bit of my time and I’m due to be getting married this year so I need to focus on that for the time been. Sorry for any inconvenience"
