Just got a bottle of Montblanc Exporer EDP.
It smells good but it has basically no longevity and doesn't smell that intense for an EDP.
Once you've smelt the higher end EDP that actually have intensity to them, nothing else seems to compare.
By which you mean creed adventus ?It smells good but it has basically no longevity and doesn't smell that intense for an EDP.

I thought was aventus but with less pineapple and more pepper ?

I thought it was ok, but wouldn't buy it again. I found that the spice/pepper element was a bit too prominent for me. If you want Aventus then it is best to buy Aventus, or save £112 a bottle and buy Parfums Vintage Emperor Extrait.

Seeing how were all bentley fans boys , has anyone tried there more summery scents like azure , silverlake or black ?
Not yet, but I would take a gamble after your review I really wish I’d seen this thread years ago - I’ve been paying stupid money for Creed etc when there’s these Bentley ones offering 95% of the product for 10% of the price! Thank you to whoever mentioned it on here, I can now invest the savings on beer

Yea but I mean more just the depth and intensity of the actual scent, not the notes in it.I thought was aventus but with less pineapple and more pepper ?
Its been a while since I smelt Aventus so I can't really compare them directly.
I've got a bottle of Tom Ford Noir de Noir EDP from the private blend range, its a completely different scent but the intensity and longevity of it is on a different level.
Quick question, can anyone recommend a good reliable website to get testers? Still looking to change, looking for a 'lightweight' but long lasting scent and would like to try them for a bit longer than a piece of card.
I got the original Tom Ford at Christmas and although it smells great , it lasts about ten minutes.

I've used both https://www.scentsamples.uk.com/ and https://www.fragrancesamplesuk.com/ in the past. I got the original Tom Ford at Christmas and although it smells great , it lasts about ten minutes.
From your requirements, I'd check out some neroli and vetiver. Citrus ones tend not to last too long unless you're splashing out on the high end stuff like Xerjoff Nio.

Some retailers send you a tester of what you buy at the same time, so if you don't like the tester just return the bottle.I got the original Tom Ford at Christmas and although it smells great , it lasts about ten minutes.

I (was) a frequent flyer and used scentsamples a few times to get 10ml tubes of day and evening aftershaves for when away with work. Not sure if they are the cheapest but they're pretty good. You can get a range of tiny testers to see if there's any you want a proper quantity of. I tried a few testers of popular scents and some were absolutely awful. (Green Irish Tweed, I'm looking at you!) I'd hate to have forked out a huge wedge of cash for a full size bottle of that stuff
I was with you for a while but GIT is one of my favourites. Love that stuff. toon10 said:

If anyone is after 'normal' designer fragrances, Boots is 10% off until this Sunday. Just ordered Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.
Tried my sample of Creed Virgin Island Water today. Certainly VERY tropical (coconut OD!).
Does the more zesty lime of Isla Tropical dull the coconut at all to make it more wearable? I think I'd consider IT (currently 15% off PV) but I don't feel full price Creed would be worth the £££.
Had my delivery from Boots. Half price Ralph Lauren Polo Blue EDP. Polo Blue gets a lot of criticism fromJeremy Fragrance the YouTube Fragrance community but I really liked the EDT as a 'jack of all trades' daily wear so wanted to try EDP (can't complain 75ml for £32). Seems quite fresh - maybe some cucumber to it? Also got Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. Have the regular AHS. Initial impression 'same same but different' (but v nice!). Will do a side by side comparison when I get home.

Soir Extrait was one of my samples and I really like it.
I’m also on the Parfums Vintage bandwagon today. It’s a Friday and it’s sunny so I’m wearing PV’s ‘Isla Tropical’. Absolutely love it. So much that I have to actually stop myself wearing it most days, and pick something more suitable for office/meetings etc
Difficult to tell the difference between Isla Tropical and Virgin Island Water, but IT has a more pronounced zesty lime note to it, which I really appreciate over VIW. I own both but honestly can’t see myself buying VIW again. IT is better in my opinion, and a whopping £108 per bottle less than VIW. No contest.
As you mention, maybe a bit too tropical for a work situation so don't think I'd get much use of it during the week. Usually just casual wear. Weekends mostly, and the odd evening. At home, out for a walk, shopping, meeting friends, going to the pub, restaurant, that sort of thing. It’s defo the one I would take on holiday, not that there has been much of that recently. I have to say it does get compliments.
In my opinion, yes, the slightly more pronounced lime of Isla Tropical makes it more usable. VIW smells more like a Pina Colada cocktail has been spilled all over you.
Don’t get me wrong, I quite like VIW, but prefer IT.
