Anyone wearing lalique or dunhill frags ?
Never tried any Dunhill.Would be interested in hearing about them though, as I’ve always fancied trying the brand.
Lalique are pretty impressive for the price as long as you like woody vetiever scents.
Think my next purchase is going to be lalique hommage purely because it's got pepper and lalique lion as it's got the same base notes as viking and i want to see how they both compare with viking .

I’ve got some Dunhill Edition. Nutmeggy. I like it but it’s pretty weak.
I've been wearing Dunhill edition since 1989 when I was 16, a girl at school gave it to me and it was so much nicer than the Jazz or whatever everyone else was wearing. I grew into that cologne as it's a much more mature scent. I still wear Dunhill Edition and it's usually the one I keep in my travel bag. They stopped making it for a few years and when it came back, it was much weaker. I have several other Dunhill scents, the original, Icon racing, desire, man, custom, century and D. I love the original Dunhill, The Dunhill Edition, an D. Icon Racing is okay.
The others were blind purchases that i'll probably never wear.

What's the correct PV Aventus clone? Is it emperor extrait? The table on their site is a tad confusing! Might as well give it a go with the discount code!
You are quite right, there are a LOT of variations: https://www.parfumsvintage.com/aventusFrom what I've seen on YouTube, seems like Emperor Extrait is considered the best clone of older (and some would argue better) Aventus.
Might be worth watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrF-A7TnfRI
Am still debating on Isla Tropical.
This chap suggests that although IT Prive (vs regular IT) has less lime in it, the oil is stronger so it's more prominent.

On a separate note, I ordered Bentley Azure from Notino, will report back when received!
As said above by g3org3y, Emperor Extrait is their copy of the circa 2014-2016 era Aventus, which is generally considered to be better than the batches that came after that.On a separate note, I ordered Bentley Azure from Notino, will report back when received!
I have Emperor Extrait and am extremely happy with it. It does indeed smell like the ‘old’ Aventus, but lasts really well, probably better than the recent Creed offering.

Is there a way of buying without creating a PayPal account? Check out seems to suggest there is, but it fails validation on my phone…From what I've seen on YouTube, seems like Emperor Extrait is considered the best clone of older (and some would argue better) Aventus.

I'm looking at the desktop site and it gives the option to 'Pay with credit or debit card' once you have clicked on the PayPal option, so you shouldn't need an account. That aside, if I didn't have a PayPal account, I would get one for sure. It makes buying stuff from all over the internet massively easy with a couple of clicks, no typing in your card details or address, and you get some serious buyer protection with it. I complained to PayPal about something I bought recently, and they simply gave me my money back in full when the shop failed to respond to my complaint satisfactorily.
Well worth having.

If anyone is after 'normal' designer fragrances, Boots is 10% off until this Sunday. Just ordered Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.
Picked up a bottle of this on the weekend and whilst it smells very good, it seems to only last about 20 mins..! Have I got a duff bottle? My Bleu de Chanel lasts for ages, was hoping this would be similar...I don't know if this is something you're meant to do, a but odd or absolute sacrilege amongst people who know what they're on about but over the last couple of years I've taken to buying three variants of Acqua di Parma (Fico di Amalfi, Mandorlo di Sicilia & Arancia di Capri) and mixing them in different levels by season/occasion.
In warm weather I'll apply an extra squirt or two of the fruity Arancia di Capri, In Winter a bit more of the earthy Mandorlo di Sicilia. I find the slightly musky Fico di Amalfi works as a base for most occasions.
As I say, I may have people queuing up to tell me I'm a clueless bell end but it works for me.

I‘ve mixed the Arancia and the Mandorlo before. I think they work well together. In warm weather I'll apply an extra squirt or two of the fruity Arancia di Capri, In Winter a bit more of the earthy Mandorlo di Sicilia. I find the slightly musky Fico di Amalfi works as a base for most occasions.

Let us know how you get on.

Tried my sample of Creed Virgin Island Water today. Certainly VERY tropical (coconut OD!).
Does the more zesty lime of Isla Tropical dull the coconut at all to make it more wearable? I think I'd consider IT (currently 15% off PV) but I don't feel full price Creed would be worth the £££.
Had my delivery from Boots. Half price Ralph Lauren Polo Blue EDP. Polo Blue gets a lot of criticism fromJeremy Fragrance the YouTube Fragrance community but I really liked the EDT as a 'jack of all trades' daily wear so wanted to try EDP (can't complain 75ml for £32). Seems quite fresh - maybe some cucumber to it? Also got Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. Have the regular AHS. Initial impression 'same same but different' (but v nice!). Will do a side by side comparison when I get home.
Try milliseme imperial its like v.i.t but kind of salty suntan lotion smell .Lord Marylebone said:
Soir Extrait was one of my samples and I really like it.
I’m also on the Parfums Vintage bandwagon today. It’s a Friday and it’s sunny so I’m wearing PV’s ‘Isla Tropical’. Absolutely love it. So much that I have to actually stop myself wearing it most days, and pick something more suitable for office/meetings etc
Difficult to tell the difference between Isla Tropical and Virgin Island Water, but IT has a more pronounced zesty lime note to it, which I really appreciate over VIW. I own both but honestly can’t see myself buying VIW again. IT is better in my opinion, and a whopping £108 per bottle less than VIW. No contest.
As you mention, maybe a bit too tropical for a work situation so don't think I'd get much use of it during the week. Bloke who makes fk-tons of money from selling very expensive fragrance suggests wearing lots of the stuff, topped up at regular intervals. Even when you're going to bed. Who'd have thought it?
Yep.That video pretty much suggests you should have a large collection of Tom Ford, and pour gallons of it over yourself throughout the day.
I can imagine other employees at Tom Ford are frightened to get in the lift with him for fear of collapsing due to the fumes.
