Milliseme Imperial is lovely but lasts about an hour, which is a real shame.
Did a split of that Emperor Extrait with Funk, it’s lovely, will be ordering a few bottles off of Parfums Vintage now.
Of the four I tested, Milliseme Imperial was my wife's favourite.Did a split of that Emperor Extrait with Funk, it’s lovely, will be ordering a few bottles off of Parfums Vintage now.
IIRC the Parfums Vintage equivalent is called 'Rush of Unicorns' (!)

- Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua × 1
As expected, mandarin hit in the opening but as it dries down there's an underlying herbalness to it. Reminds me of my times in Cyprus as a child, my grandparents had mandarin trees (among others) in the garden. Very nice.g3org3y said:

On first spray, wasn't sure, but once it settled really like this. Quite unlike anything else I have in my collection (because vetiver). Earthy but v clean. Good office fragrance but fresh enough to be equally suited to a spring/summer day. I really like it.The more I smell Milliseme Imperial, the more I agree with this:

Try milliseme imperial its like v.i.t but kind of salty suntan lotion smell .
Both with MI and Costa Azzura, with it properly dried down on my skin, smells less feminine. Very close between the two.eyebeebe said:
Costa Azzurra is very long lasting. I was given a bottle as a gift and I have a bit of a love hate relationship with it. I do like the smell which is very different to Neroli, but at the same time was keen to use it quickly, so I could justify buying a bottle of something else expensive.
I'd be interested for you to expand on that.Of the 6 samples, Grey Vetiver has interested me the most because it's a note I've not experienced before and a gap in my collection.

Yeah, my missus loves it as well but dropping Creed money on something that lasts an hour is something I just cannot do! If anyone fancies splitting the Parfums Vintage knock off equivalent, I’d be up for it as well.
Check out essense vaults version , it's obviously not the same but it's similar enough .Re grey vetiver , give laique encre noir sport a go .

Will check it out. Have actually ordered a 50ml bottle of Grey Vetiver. Was cheap on Amazon (direct, not reseller). Was ordering some books anyway so made sense..Tried JPG Le Male Le Parfum again today. Seems less harsh, much smoother. definitely warming to it. (Wonder if the original harshness is to do with the sprayer/tubing not being primed).
MFK Baccarat Rouge. Had a free sample. I know reviews for this are mixed. Unfortunately I'm sitting in the negative camp. One review I read mentions it smelling like a hospital. Totally get where they're coming from (and I've smelt my fair share of hospitals). Not for me. £215 for 70ml...not cheap either.

Hard to explain! I do like the fragrance, but usually with such an expensive one, I‘d be keen to use it sparingly. With this one I was keen to get through the bottle, so that I could justify buying something else. I do have a big left in the bottle though and I suspect it will now move to the use sparingly pile.g3org3y said:

Imagine this is currently selling well? As they had a new male contestant on Love Island, and when sat down the girls asked what he was wearing, and he said this one. (Don't think they commented on the smell, just asked what it was).I hadn't heard of it, so googled. Apparently lasts a long time on the skin.

At the price it is, I would agree!Someone earlier said they weren't sure about milliseme imperial as it smelt a bit unisex , will bacarat rouge is that but even more.

I was not a fan. The YouTubers seem to really like it though.
Grey Vetiver arrived yesterday.
Inspired by how great Bentley Intense turned out to be, I splashed out on another two. Azure and Momentum Unlimited.
I'm hopeless at describing scents but Azure brings to mind Mediterranean warm evenings and Momentum Unlimited to me smells "Green" and fresh and foresty somehow. Similar to (but not the same as Creed Green Irish Tweed). For a lot less than £30 for 100ml from Amazon, I'd say they were both well worth a try.

I've lurked this forum for a long time and the steer to Parfums Vintage was superb my wife likes everything I've bought from them and the Bentley Intense is going to be a winter classic.
I'm now going to ask for some advice, I would really like a fragrance that smells of soap, like I've just stepped out of the shower after soaping up and washing my hair (what's left).
Any ideas?

I often see Prada L'Homme described as a soapy type fragrance. Might be worth a look.I'm now going to ask for some advice, I would really like a fragrance that smells of soap, like I've just stepped out of the shower after soaping up and washing my hair (what's left).
