Which aftershave do you use?

I really liked TToLG sample I got but I don't think I can justify the price of a bottle.
I wouldn't buy it again on the grounds that, as you say, for the price you would need to be really wowed by it and love it.Several years ago when it first came out, I was wowed by it, and bought a bottle through gritted teeth.
I am disappointed by my new bottle, and given the price, I feel a little ripped off.
Others may like the slight changes that appear to have been made to the formula/batch, but I'm afraid I don't. Gone is that really fresh barbershop/shaving smell.
(Your own experience/batch/nose may vary)

Big fan of the Penhaligons scents at the mo. Think it was from reading this thread as well.
Gone with the Lord George and Terrible Teddy for now, whilst the missus has the Heartless Helen.
V nice I have to say, but each to their own as well.
I'm also a big fan of Penhaligons scents. I have Terrible Teddy, The Blazing Mr Sam and Halfeti, although Halfeti is rarely used as it is so strong.Gone with the Lord George and Terrible Teddy for now, whilst the missus has the Heartless Helen.

My only slight complaint is that Lord George seems to have been changed slightly from when it first came out. It used to have a significant 'shaving cream' note to it, and a recently purchased bottle seemed really lacking in the shaving cream/barber shop notes, and heavier on the smoky kind of tobacco notes.

Anyone tried Molton Brown's offerings?
Often wondered how their black pepper bodywash would work as a fragrance on its own.
Your mileage may vary, but I love the body wash, and bought the fragrance, but it just did not compare. I threw it away actually; not something I do lightly. Often wondered how their black pepper bodywash would work as a fragrance on its own.
I'm not 100% where I bought it (but know it wasn't in the MB shop) but I think Amazon, so I'm open to the idea it was fake.

Has anyone tried parfume vantage sandal amber?
What else is recommended?
Depends what you're after. Plenty of 'Best of Parfums Vintage' videos on YouTube. They have a Fragrance Guide on their website so you can cross ref with their 'inspirations'. What else is recommended?
I was out shopping at the weekend and decided to give the creed counter a whirl to see if t was worth all the hype. I thought Aventus was good but not really all that special and reminded me of Montblanc explorer but that's much cheaper. Liked Himalaya but loved Green Irish tweed and Viking (red one). I found myself sniffing my wrist all day with those two. I think Viking seems more unique and would love to get some but does anyone know a good code or discount outlet? If it was £100 or so I wouldn't be thinking but at £285 its rather a lot!

GIT, the first time I smelt it, I felt it was quite old fashioned. Had another sample recently and actually thought it a lot better. Quite liked it actually. Wife however isn't a fan so didn't bother with either Emerald Isle or Verbena Fields samples from Parfums Vintage.Been using TF Costa Azzurra more of late, really starting to enjoy it. Despite my initial reservations of it being quite feminine, I think that saltiness grounds it. Decided to use the 10% offer on Boots and bought a 50ml bottle (was already £10 dicount) as well as Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua just because I loved how it reminded me of Cyprus.

I owned Aventus and Explorer at the same time, and whilst they were very similar, Aventus did smell more complex and a bit nicer to my nose. Explorer seemed more peppery and spicy smelling. Explorer is clearly Mont Blanc trying to go after the Aventus crowd.Green Irish Tweed is the one Creed fragrance that I cannot get my head around because it smells so much like Cool Water that it isn't even funny. Yes, a slightly more complex and strong Cool Water, but to my noise, so much like Cool Water. (I'll be honest and say I actually prefer the very slightly more mellow smell of Cool Water...)
