At Zurich airport the Penhaligon’s and Creed are in a separate shop with over zealous sales staff, so I was struggling for inspiration. Flying back from Alicante on Sunday, the Penhaligon’s is relatively unguarded, so I had planned to test the Halfeti and Halfeti leather, but it seems like I’m going to have to find a third limb to test the Arthur too.

I buy fragrances because I like them, not because someone else does.

This stuff:

It smells just like the magic tree I used to have hanging in my Nissan 200sx, instant nostalgia! cloud9

This. Also, that I like on my skin. Sometimes a fragrance smells great but I just don’t like to wear it. Would love it as a car air freshener, Halfetti is a great example.

Funk, that JPG Le Male Elixir you sent is gorgeous. Lasts forever. I picked up a sweatshirt I was wearing last week and could still smell it. Is it the one in the black and gold bottle.

I'll flip the script slightly smile

I wear fragrances for both myself and how I smell to other people. It's a package of effects, if you will.

I haven't came across a fragrance that I love and yet is repulsive to others, and if I'm honest, if I do come across it, i highly doubt I'd wear it.

I too want to pick up a bottle of this but JPG fragrances seem to be OOS almost everywhere.

Just sold a couple to make room but think I’ll get Elixir and Beau Paradise Garden when they’re in stock.

Wearing Drakkar Intense today cannot believe how good it is for £9 !!!!

Good tip. It's fun to take a punt on something unknown occasionally. I'm a fan of Dunhill For Men which was about £30. I also got Ralph Lauren Polo Green for half price in Boots. Don't like this though, hate pachouli. The dangers of buying blind...

It's nice to wear stuff that everyone else isn't currently wearing. Which is why I sometimes scan the retro stuff. Think I'll delve into Chanel next. Remember having L'Egoiste and Anneaus years ago. Can't remember what they're like though.

Allow me to explain,

The first reaction is a choice of 'hugger' or 'panty dropper'

After that bit of light heartedness they're then over the course of the day commenting on how it's evolving.

'Eau the Audacity' was the most stunning for a scent evolving.

Try Tom Ford Beau de Jour - really like that and it was a very reasonable price. Good performance too.

Just found Elixir is in stock at the perfume shop , offer on £20 off if you spend £100, so 125ml is £80 delivered

Ordered but won’t hold my breath, I recent ordered Costa Azzura from them as it was so cheap, but it never materialised.

Anyone ordered from Scent Reserve?

As a decidedly low budget buyer I normally go TEV but got a offer from Scent Reserve so ordered 3 from there instead.

Tbh I suspect with so many similar ompanies out there they all buy from the same sources anyway

For a scent I was originally given on a tour of Dubai Airport’s private terminal as a ‘give away’, Hermes ‘ Un jardin de monsieur li’ is one of the two Hermes aftershaves that are now an almost daily go to, for projection and staying power.

The other is ‘terre d'hermes’.

When you get positive comments from woman in public about a scent, it’s very encouraging biglaugh
