Is this genuine?

I love Creed Aventus but I'm a stingy Northerner who can't justify paying the massive prices. £38 for 30ml of Aventus seems a bit too cheap even for a split though?

Historically I loved the Original Noir and bought the antiperspirant and Talc as well as it wasn't ridiculously expensive. Next was YSL "Pour Homme" which seems to have bitten the dust. I know Have One Million and YSL "Y" as my favourites with Pure Blanc and Gucci Guilty added in for everyday use.

Tom is indeed legit.

I had a 10ml of Silver Mountain Water arrive from him yesterday and it's very, very nice - wearing it today and I'll be getting more of it in future.

I think I've narrowed down to five favourite Creeds, in no particular order:

Aventus
Green Irish Tweed
Himalaya
Original Santal
Silver Mountain Water

I didn't like Millesime Imperial or Virgin Island Water and I'm still on the fence about Erolfa...actually if anyone wants to buy most of a 30ml off me at a discount, give me a shout as I don't know that I'll wear it over the others I have - I'll take a pic of it later when I get in to show how much is left, I paid £37 for it from Tom about 5 weeks ago.

If anyone would like the Roja Great Britain and Amber Aoud samples to see what they think I'd be happy to pop them in the post - I certainly won't be using them! Drop me a message through the site.

I loved Santal until my missus said she thought it smelled like Joop! That kind of killed it for me. And I'll send you a PM, would happily take a few Roja samples off your hands! I think I've got a couple of Amouage samples stashed away I can send your way in exchange!

He is legit, I've had a fair few conversations with him and he must have a wholesaler contact somewhere as when I was looking to buy one of the old style Royal Mayfair 120ml bottles he commented his supplier would struggle to match a price I found online.

Another vouch for Tom here.

In my opinion, he's simply not greedy. Keeps his prices keen enough to attract and keep his customers and yet enough of a margin to turn a profit.

Indeed. My mate introduced me to his old eBay page and I couldn't/wouldn't believe he was legit as first! Bought an Aventus off him and sprayed it on one wrist and sprayed from my actual bottle on the other and never looked back! He even gave me an extra 5ml for free for sharing his details here biggrin

I've replied to you Brabus. smile

Thanks for the offer of the Amouage samples but I've tried Ciel and Jubilation XXV and wasn't a fan personally so I'm not sure they're for me. I kind of get what you're saying about Original Santal and Joop - I think it's probably the initial 'sweetness' but the OS is a much more sophisticated and complex scent (and also lasts much longer). There are two Joops I like - I've got a bottle each of Homme Wild and Go which I prefer to the original Joop.

Agreed, he also buys 500ml flacons at a time which will be the most cost-effective way of buying to split.

lately been using white crystal by killian, and while it has a great smell it doesn't last for the price you would have thought it could last

Good to hear positive reviews, I've just ordered some Aventus from him.

Issey Myake Pour Homme for me. Has been my fragrance of choice since I was 18. Saying that, maybe I should mix things up a bit?!

No spray, no lay (amoungst other, less couth things!) as the Freshen-up chappies say.... smile

I have 2 Aventus samples - don't remember where from, but there is a definite difference in how long the scent lasts. Are some of these suppliers passing off eau de toilette as eau de parfum?

Unless I'm missing something, Aventus doesn't come in EDT form.

Aventus has different batches (formulas) so you will notice a difference.

I can't see aventus on the site, is it just my poor eyesight?

£38 for 30ml seems very cheap. I paid £50 for 50ml of Sauvage and I think that's EDT.
