I found Erolfa had a urine-like note to it that I couldn't get past once I noticed it.
+1 , for me, quite specifically, reminded me of this:

Agreed. Really didn't like it at all.

Trying Penhaligon’s Cairo today. Dries down to a rose scent on me. Reminds me a little of Tom Ford Noir, but not quite as nice - if I was looking for something in this space I’d go for the cheaper TF over this…

Those are my summer staples too. Have you noticed the longevity of GIT isn’t so great? Three sprays this morning, can’t smell it at all now.

Apologies if this makes me seem like an uncultured heathen but does anyone have any experience of the deodorant sticks and sprays from the likes of Hermes and Tom Ford?

I just don't use aftershave enough to burn through bottles so they go off and this may be a way of getting a few more scents.

If you keep them out of sunlight in a cupboard/drawer you should be fine with bottles for a few years, or just buy sample sized 10ml bottles and you should be ok.

Yeah I was looking at some of the Tom Ford 10ml atomisers but figured they wouldn't last long at all.

They last quite a while. Especially if you rotate a few.

The best aftershave I ever had was from Kenneth Cole called RSVP.
They make a version of it still, but it's completely different to how it used to smell.

If anybody has a bottle of the original stuff (brown bottle that came in a wooden display box) please let me know and I'll happily send you money for it.

I've put in an offer, it pains me slightly paying £60 for half a bottle of aftershave that once cost £30. It's bloody nice though.

I feel your pain. I have a similar love of the old Versace Versus Oumo. Comes up occasionally on eBay but for silly money.

Fragrance can evoke powerful emotions though.

GIT seems to last on me till the evening. Aventus does last over a day but does a bit sickly

I had a Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Deo stick and thought it was very good quality.

However, I wouldn’t choose another as I like to wear a different scent each day and this clashed with those. I prefer a neutral scent for deodorants most of the time.

As a result, I would wear it as a scent on its own and in that sense, it worked just fine.

Still, it was nothing compared to the olfactory skull-fking that was Floris Elite.

I still have nightmares about that awful stank-fest.

I've just used the last of my Halfeti - I think the Leather flanker is close enough that I won't replace the original until I've also finished the Leather.

Let's be honest, it's not like I don't have plenty of fragrances to choose from anyway... biggrinwhistle
