Tell us something really trivial about your life (Vol 28)

Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
I am at a state in my life where if a song on the wireless is not to my liking I turn the radio off for a few minutes. The majority of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's body of work survive this indignity, but only just. This evening, on Britain's Got Talent, an act used a cover of The Power of Love as their backing track and I realised for the first time what a beautiful song it is. Not an okay song, not a nice song, a beautiful song. I have allowed my prejudices to influence my critical faculties. And I apologies profusely for it.
Carry on.

Today, for reasons I am unable to explain, I shall be undertaking DIY in pink. To be more precise, amongst a random selection of clothes from the Don't-Care-What-Happens-To-This-Clobber pile, I gathered a pale pink polo shirt and bright pink socks. That's bright pink.
For a moment there I thought you were getting out the Pink Paint!Happy St George's Day everyone.
The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire was written by Edward Gibbon, I wonder if Chunky Monkey would be interested in chronicling the decline and fall of Trivial Towers.
It had to happen, of course, but if we keep posting every day until 4th June we will have accomplished 2,500 days of unbroken posting. Another trivial milestone.
Oh, all right, Luci and I will do it.

A very nervous driver with a new driving licence took a VW Beetle out for a test drive. She was so recent to the world of driving that she asked me to go with her. After a hesitant start of the, "Should I change gear now?" variety, I invited her to take the next left turn in a move to shorten the test drive. "Is it narrow?" "Yes, but it's fine. There's never much traffic going this way." In fact we only met two cars going the other way, but one of them was a McLaren. To me it seemed to be about eight feet wide. To my Pilote Timide it took up the whole road. A McLaren. I mean, for gawd's sake, what are the chances?
Well, I've been working on the Cessna project I've been helping with. Fitted a new air speed indicator today as it goes.
There's another chap offering his services, British Airways airframe technician. So far he's managed to reverse his car into a bollard in the car park, burnt his hand making coffee and bumped his head several times on the Cessna's wings.
If I fly anywhere on holiday later I might give Emirates a go.
