In other TVR talk......I joined the TVRCC sometime in the 90s for a few years as I wanted to buy the fire breathing hotrod
that is/was a TVR 200, a Tasmin with a Pinto engine.
Deffo the poverty model of all Trevors.....
A rare car cos nobody wanted them.
Nobody wanted them new either, according to wiki only 61 were made in total that is/was a TVR 200, a Tasmin with a Pinto engine.

I know of 2 TVR 200s
One was owned by the lad who sold me my 2.8 , it was used a lot, he went to Le Mans in it. Nippy but not fast with only 100bhp.
The other is on its way back from spain to be restored by a TVR specialist called RT racing.
Dicky the TVR S's are less divisive than the wedges and there was a fair amount of overlap in production, even though they are usually only the 2.8/2.9 cologne engines they seem to be fairly popular and are probably more expensive to buy than 350 wedge.
The v8 S are sought after and are worth a good amount of money.
Transplanting the 2.5v6 from a mondeo into a wedge or v6 S is probably not worthwhile, they arent much more powerful and it would be a hell of a lot of work. An easier and more worthwhile transplant would be the 2.9 24v Cosworth BOA or BOB from a scorpio. More powerful than the mondeo lump and less work to fit as it is a derivative of the cologne.
I do know of someone overseas that is considering putting the 4.0 litre v6 from a ford explorer in as apparently it is very closely related to the cologne and easily available where they are.

Thanks, GOG. Knowledge tucked away for a rainy day.The v8 S are sought after and are worth a good amount of money.

I'm not sure if I'm being cruel, but that yellow thing looks a bit like the skip on their driveway.

Bomma, Luci has already said it's one of fifteen Barchettas. Be careful what you say.
Yo.
A little more about that car cum skip cum wtf ,Google Ferves Ranger and it explains all ,including one sold recently for,
,wait for it 29,000 GBP.
And you can tell it's not a serious car as the wheels are off a golf cart.
Slight disappointment of yesterday was that the most "super" of Ferraris attending was 1 F40 ,no F50,Enzo ,LaFerrari ,288 GTO
and older stuff was limited to a couple of 250 Lussos ,a 275 an a 330 or two ,no older racing stuff lime TRs or MMs.
Too valuable for the public to get close to ?

Odd, I know. Coincidentally I once saw Lou Reed waiting on Goldhawk Road Underground Station. He wasn't claiming to be dead at the time so there was no stigma attached. I was on a train going the other way so we didn't speak. He'd probably been to Cookes Pie and Mash shop. It's near the station.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
