Was that 'Flowers in the Rain'?

I used to like this one:

Still do, as it goes...

Indeed it is Flowers in the Rain; the first record played on Radio 1. My word it was all very exciting.

The Move did some good stuff and, as you probably know, their final line up became ELO.

Do you know old chap, I was never aware they evolved into ELO.

Good Lord, you live and learn.

Anyhow, had a good listen to this earlier:

Sometimes, on a Saturday morning, nothing else comes close. Other than a bacon banjo of course...

Strummer?

The remaining section of the old decking came up this morning prior to the new decking going in. It was a bit grim under there. I came in for my lunch before cleaning it to give the spiders a chance to run away.

Radio 1 is dead to me.

The DJs are all morons.

Afternoon all.
Pouring down here so my plan of washing and polishing the TVR have gone down the pan.
BMW is now officially mucked out and I will be saying goodbye to it at 5.
And saying hello to my new motor, a lightly used Jag xf sportbrake. Its lovely, not as quick as the 3 but a much nicer place to sit, roomier, much better equipped and it should be a lot cheaper to run.
And I get to break it in gently by using it to drive down to LeMans in a few weeks

Marvellous stuff there Gog.

I must admit the XF Sportbrake thing was on my shortlist for a while, couldn't really justify it due to carting my GSD around.

Well, for me anyhow... I have this sort of 'shed' mentality.

A lovely car, I hope it serves you well. Should be a great trip you have coming up. driving

Seeing as I finally managed to upload some pics, off a memory stick ,I thought I'd try one out.

Oh the good old days when my Ford worked.

Think I mentioned I bought a metal detector for our forthcoming holiday with the Granddaughter.

I had a bash with it this afternoon, found two £1 coins.

I'm hopeful for future developments. smile

Brilliant well done. Does it discriminate?

Jags are smashing. Although I haven't owned one since my XJS shed of fond memory I get to drive them frequently. You get a lot of car for your money. I'm using an old S Type at the moment to and fro work. It lives at the far end of the Cars For Sale and hasn't attracted much interest. It's lovely.

Haven't noticed anything untoward so far old chap. It seems to get on with pretty much anyone.

Thinking about it, the old dog barked at it when it bleeped, but it didn't seem to be offended in any way.

I have to say I love old Jags. Unfortunately, with the lack of estate models within my budget, I've not been able to procure one.

The X Type is pretty much a Mondeo (which I already had) and I couldn't really justify a £10k spend on an XF to cart the old dog around in.

Well Mrs B couldn't anyhow.

My one discriminated, if it was set at high discrimination then it only found high value gold and silver, and riches abounded, and all the riff raff stuff was left in the ground.

I think it was a Farage MK2
