Fcensoredg Pelican!!

My day has been really crap.

My ipad wont boot, just shows that half eaten apple thing then goes off & I had a puncture as I was coming off the M25 on the way home.

Tyre borked, ipad borked & Ive got to go to Heathrow tonight....... On a blooming Spacesaver!!!!

Happy I am not!
Oh dear. Could be worse though chap, at least Penrose won't be at Heathrow - too busy chasing the neighbour's Rottweiler around the paddock at the mo.

Haha puncture here too. Changed to spacesaver and did 80 miles in it at 60 with buttocks clenched. Got home and used the compressor to find it was a flint right on the edge of the tread. Shot into the local garage before they closed and they'll put a plug in it no questions asked and the car is a fking nightmare for tyres they have to be changed in pairs or the x drive sts itself. Need it done as I'm towing a car trailer tomorrow.

Good news though on the jalopy - the THIRD oil pump worked, after a total of 4 pump changes in the last week and believe me it's not good taking the manifolds and sump off with the car on axle stands, fitting a pump and putting it all nicely back together and going through the same process time after time after finding each pump is useless.
Original pump A - removed because 100psi +. Pump B fitted
Pump B - removed because crap psi. Pump A fitted after checking OK
Pump A - removed because crap psi. Refitted because pressure valve was stuck open with foreign matter
Pump A - removed because still crap psi. Fitted pump C. Oil pressure normal.

I'm glad I got all that out. Had to tell somebody.
Well I don't feel quite so bad now, except my tyre has had it, drove on it just to get off motorway, didn't want those Traffic Wombles hanging about!

Sounds like the spacesaver wont be too bad then, I`ve a 70 mile round trip, blasted flight is in late too.

Surprising he lasted as long as he did. Poor bugger's probably in a secure unit now wibbling about hoists & waterfowl...

Should be fine Jimbo just watch sudden braking at pelican crossings or you'll leave strange skid marks

Now look here. While I understand your natural inclinations to protect the Towers and all who reside within - and in principle wholeheartedly endorse the Inter Parishional Ballistic Missile Development Programme - but to base early prototypes on traditional weapons seems a mite fanciful. The 'Arrow' Missile, for example. Launched from the gun emplacement on the top of the water tower, it didn't make it as far as the haberdashers. Imagine if the warhead had been armed.

This bird strike business. Will it be one day with no morning chorus? Boycotting suburban bird tables? We should be kept informed. They always seem to do it during peak holiday times.
No idea Dicky, afraid I didn't get that involved with the article TBH.

I`ve no doubt they, well one in particular, will just do whatever he pleases....... As usual!

Not sure about ADHD, I know one thing he does have - a good appetite. Had another of the Vicar's Koi carp earlier.

Bathroom's coming along nicely thanks. Will be fitting some new downlighters tomorrow so my apologies in advance for any sudden power failures across the country.

I'll get Tom 'Periscope' McCornea on the case as spotter. Clearly that was a miss for the Parish Council meeting and we can't have it six miles short next time. The verger currently has him pinned against a wall shouting something about his middle name should be peeping as he saw his wife came out of the bath. Lets hope McCornea doesn't explain the real reason for being called 'periscope' or he's done for.

Good Lord! Do you happen to know the length of those missiles Dicky? I'm wondering if I could use them in conjunction with Operation Fence...

Pfff, i forgot about sanding the bottom half of the shed, and just put a coat of paint on the top half. Loads of exposed wood there are vigorous sanding, and with my evenings book from tomorrow til monday, i probably wouldnt have had a chance to paint it soon. (cant be done during the day, as its in direct sunlight then)

Lets hope it all dries up well, then i can do the bottom next monday and cross it off the list.

Now its netflix and cognac time!

We did try tethering him to an Ash tree in the paddock with a 20m length of 16mm anchor chain but that only landed us in trouble with the Parish council.

I didn't know there was a protection order on the tree, nor did I think he'd uproot it...

....or that the range of the Parish Council meeting was 6 miles further than Paddy 'Patch' McOneye had reckoned....

I was trying to keep that quiet, I don't think Dicky knows it was anything to do with us. What was Patch thinking of?

You mentioned 'Periscope' McCornea earlier - I'd no idea he was on the scene again? I remember visiting him when he was on remand.
