Wonder if anyone can help please?

Granddaughter is staying with us at the mo, been playing the'Mousetrap' game with her. We got to the bit where the brush thing gets triggered and the elastic band broke, thus causing a catastrophic failure in the proceedings.

She's saying the game should be awarded to her as she was winning up to that point.

I reckon as it was an unpredictable mechanical breakdown, the game should be declared null & void and a re-match should take place when a suitable replacement part has been obtained.

Any thoughts as to adjudication on this one?

That's tough. I'll see if enough members are here/awake/sober to establish a quorum.

Thanks old chap. It's certainly causing some division in the house at the moment.

Thanks Ali, that's a good thought.

We've settled on a temporary ceasefire over a KFC at the mo. No doubt it'll all kick off again tomorrow though smile

Stumbled across an acoustic gig by Status Quo on BBC4 .

Parfitt imo had stronger vocals than Rossi, don't know when this was recorded.

Rick looks a bit skinny but otherwise ok.

Was it the concert they for the BBC when they launched their acoustic album Aquostic? It was about an hour and a half. I can't remember where I was driving but I heard it all in the car.

Good old Quo. Their stuff will go on a lot longer than anyone ever imagined.

Well that's the Mousetrap business finally sorted. After replacing the elastic band we decided on the 'best of three' solution.

I got walloped 2 - 0.

Going to cook something on the barbeque now, bit of steak and some sausages I think. See if I can manage that without buggering it up grumpy

In 2015 I got everyone excited about a barbecue. The invitations would be many and widespread.

We haven't had it yet.

Reminds me of the chap who fell through the roof of a French bakery.

He ended up in a world of pain.

Did a bit of fishing at the lakes this afternoon.

I was assured by Grandbomma that 'Pappy will catch the biggest fish'.

She managed a 4 pound carp, I caught a 4 ounce roach. Bloody hellfire.

Lovely afternoon though smile
