Tomorrow is heat wrapping the manifolds changing the water pump and increasing the mixuture a tad.
Getting tooooo hot.

Mrs P doesn't like sitting like a lemon by the side of the road while I knock on doors to get water to drench the carb to cool it.
If that doesn't work I've got a Plan B...


Change Mrs P for a version that tolerates it.

My first manifold wrapping attempt was pathetic ,the standard RS1600i manifold is completely the wrong shape for a tidy job.

Changed to a tubular ,4 branch thing and viola ,a pigging masterpiece of wrappage.

It didn't look quite so good after nearly tearing the system off outside Lamborghini and driving home with wrapping

material dragging along the road under the car ,unbeknown to me ,until I got home.....

That was my first solo trip to Italy ,in a then 23yo scruffy Ford Escort.

I'm surprised they let me in.

I spent the night in Canet in the late 80`s en route to Barcelona for a Ferry to Majorca, by the side of some huge lake or estuary.

Might well have been her. Not sure about the huge lake, about a size 10 she was. 12 at a push.
