I like how when they need help, they decide the police are allowed on the site.
It must be part of their culture.

Such peaceful nomads.

The machetes, pump action shotgun and semi-auto pistol should get police off their arse to pay these cheeky scamps a visit.
Shouldn't be too hard as they filmed it showing the plates on their vans.

Cheeky little scamps are about these parts again.

In the last 3 days:

  • Tried to mow MrsBrettMRC down in a hilux when she confronted them about hare coursing in the fields (police nearly interested)
  • Broken into a neighbours outbuildings yesterday and stolen the usual mix of chainsaws, strimmers etc (police *almost* interested)
  • Sat in a transit van in a very odd place c9pm last night with a couple of their mates in the fields with flashlights (police on the scene in 10mins for this one, so fair play...not quick enough to catch them though)
If I see the Hilux **** again I will be taking some action I think. (He legged it on Sunday by the time I got down the drive and into the field gate)
A few nights after this, left for work to find the lane strewn with drill bits, screws, counter weights from exercise bikes, broken exercise bikes, mattresses, beds, broken furniture, wheels & tyres. Called 101....nothing happened....called council twice and they came and collected it after 2 days. (After we had cleared it all up into 3 big piles for them)

This little episode must have taken them quite some time and effort as the stuff placed in a pretty methodical way for nearly half a mile. (Right from our place, through the next hamlet and on to the routes into two local villages)

Scum.

Should we spare a throught for our travelling cousins? It must be hard living in a caravan in these temperatures, just think of the number of gas bottles that they have to go out and steal.

I was staying in a hotel last week. Have stayed in the same hotel many times, an old place with gravel drive set in lovely peaceful grounds.

As soon as i pulled up i noticed a motorhome with a load of kids being noisy and slamming the door shouting etc. I picked up on the twang of the accent straight away and my heart sank. NO please god NO.

Went into the reception area, more kids trampling everywhere up and down the grand staircase and they had knocked over and broken anything they could get their mits on. No parents in sight but could hear a lot of commotion in the function room. Went to my room and got settled then went to the bar for food. More kids. All kids very poorly dressed in the same sort of attire you would expect in a dark alley in soho. Trying to eat they are running wild and even hiding under my table swearing and at the bar a lad of about 5 sat alone in his pants only. FFS!. It was snowing heavily and the door was open with a main road about 100m away. The fear in the barmans and other staffs faces was evident, i felt very sorry for them.

Anyway i finished my food and went back to my room and stayed there lol. Few hours later huge row in the car park with about 5 guys, one had another pinned against the wall and was being very aggressive and screaming in the other guys face veins popping and everything, i didnt wait to see if they started full on fighting and stayed out of it.

Then the fire alarm started. Four times during the night the alarm was set off, last time being 4am. Didnt sleep well at all.

So then the morning. I went down to check out. A window company were replacing the glass in the front door! A load of our misunderstood friends were layed about on couches while the kids STILL ran riot at 7am. I asked the reception why on earth they accepted this booking in such a nice hotel and she informed me they had simply paid cash prior and left a dodgy number so couldnt be contacted and then all turned up on the day.

The best was when leaving. The bride crawling into the motorhome still in her wedding dress and then i looked at the otherside of the car park.

A white transit van all burnt out. Just unreal.

Not. Wired. Up. Right. At. All.

Obviously it was a crap night for you but those poor staff. Surely whoever took the booking must have realised that something wasn't right. Most places are nervous of Stag do's and the like and don't entertain them.

Not sure how much assistance Thames Valley Police will get for this one. Especially as the kids from that site are well known for stoning and egging cars driving past. And yes it's right next to the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE).

A horde of our charming mathematical lock smiths - caravan dwelling friends, have taken up residence in the Asda/B&Q at Belvedere in South London.

Was tasked with picking up some bits after dropping off the ironing at our ironing lady, swung into the car park to find approx 15 caravans, and assorted 4x4’s (drawn up in what I can only describe as Wild West wagons in a circle)

Hordes of kids running around.

I literally swung the car around and went straight back out - feel sorry for the locals whom will now be blighted until Asda/B&Q can get them removed.

One day, common sense will prevail and these situations will be dealt with. Until then your post will be repeated every week - the only difference being the location.
I don't know what council or political party will have the guts to do it but surely it has to happen?
I am fairly well lubricated at the moment but this makes me so sad.

I ventured out to the local tesco on Saturday after being snowed in since Wednesday. About 10 caravans have camped up in the same manner in the far corner of the car park blocking the click and collect area. I thought these tts were supposed to bugger off back to Rathkeale during the winter?
