White transit at our local shop this morning. Two blokes and a kid with thick Irish accents in the shop.

I took a picture of the van as I left (just in case!) and have just checked the insurance and tax status of said vehicle. Surprise, surprise. Not taxed or insured. Now wish I had checked earlier and reported.
Reporting it for lack of insurance (unless you have a legitimate reason for having checked) could get you into more trouble than the perpetrators are likey to face!

Take care!
How so?

Had a call from the police this morning thanking me for calling them on sunday to report traveller children blocking the road to the village and pelting anyone with stones that tried to remove their road block. Unfortunately they didn't have anyone available to send out that night but it is always important to report these things, he concluded with they've gone and told them how dangerous this is before and he can't understand why it's not sinking in.
Why don’t social services take the kids into care? If they’re left unattended and found playing in roads and damaging other peoples property on multiple occasions clearly the parents have failed and the children are at risk.
Do you think Social Services want the hassle ?

Why would they want to chance it
I mean come on would you want the little sheeeets around your place ?
They would be in all the kids rooms unscrewing anything metal and ripping the cable out of the walls
Anything electrical would be robbed and be down the local illegal travellers site.
Errr I mean care home car park which would now BE the new illegal travellers site
Any girl in her bedroom wouldn't be safe from a quick show of traveller romance AKA as grab and grope.
Any visiting relatives of the other children would have their wallets and purses nicked

Of course they don’t. It wasn’t a serious question, I know the answer and it’s basically the same as the answer to why don’t the police tackle them to the full extent of their powers? It’s just too much like hard work and would stretch already limited resources beyond breaking point.

It’s far easier not to tackle the root of the problem and just pick off the low hanging fruit when they do something really stupid or get caught in the act. It’s a slippery slope that has led us to a point at which as a “community” they live in a parallel society where low level criminality is not prosecuted. The law is not enforced equally.

For about 25 of my 31 years my father was a police officer. He’d disagree with them, strongly.

Well stream of vehicles heading on blues to the local locksmiths camp this evening. Don't envy the single crewed first at scene.

Got approval to go live today. Sign it, share it. Spread it wide. Let the power of Pistonheads do its thing!

I'm not expecting anything to happen, really. But 10k signatures for an answer would be nice.
