Could a law ever be introduced that makes it illegal for them to remove the perfectly acceptable toilet and washing facilities from their caravans?

Interesting to note the BBC only seeking the views of Travellers.

I saw that Government statement and it did make my head wobble. Do any of them keep within the Law do any of then have Car and vehicle Insurance? I would love to know who the genius is that came up with that one.

I do like how everything is getting closer and closer to the petition we put up. Its almost like they had been contacted by an MP about it. Shame the BBC can't link to external petitions though.

The government consultation started before the petition.

You seemed to be suggesting that the petition had provoked government action.

Ohh, I see.

I'm suggesting that an MP, who has a vested interest and might gain from publicity, has spoken to the BBC, to bring this issue into the limelight again. Its a shame the BBC can't put up links to external petitions.

Just came back from a country fair in Frampton on seven. On the way back down the A38 we went past a field with a sign on it saying "Gypsy land keep out"

I found it ironic and somehow wish overnight 300 tons of rubbish could be dumped there for the owners to pay for clearing.

The reality is they would just dump 300 tons of rubbish on someone else field.

Irony is obviously an alien concept to them.

The BBC would have a far better response if they asked ‘ Has your life been affected by the bad behaviour of travellers arriving where you live, causing chaos in pubs and shops and leaving a trail of devastation, waste, and human excrement?’

It's against the BBC's Charter to give voice to such populist views.

3 arrested after "8 slaves" freed after a police raid in Iver, Bucks.

Nothing in any of the new articles suggests it was anything to do with nomadic types, but this is the location where it happened - https://goo.gl/maps/8YcdKa8qu8u

I'm assuming it's law that you pay council tax? Tax collection from traveller sites is below 20%.

Ponderosa ? Well at least they have a sense of humour, besides the whole slaving enterprise. Lovable scamps.

I'm surprised the Google car made it out of there in one piece.

Another quaint traveller site sets up in Dudley

http://www.halesowennews.co.uk/news/blackcountry/1...

Young woman claims she was assaulted near the Withymoor Village infestation.

https://www.facebook.com/100001932098520/posts/221...

Not made the news, however that could be due to fears of upsetting the wonderful nomads.

Local government response to the infestation is to provide them with a permanent site nearby rolleyes

Theft is up, assaults are up, residents are verbally abused by them. I just don’t understand why the police and government piss themselves in fear at the thought of confronting them? If I was stting outside the gates of a primary school, threatening people and robbing the local shops, I’d soon find myself arrested!

Loving the probably, completely legal above board building made with completely deffo paid for selection of random bricks and windows. Points added for the symmetrical roofline and lack of soldier course on the largest window on the gable end.

I'm sure the proprietor of the Bull was only too glad to donate his pub sign as well.
