I would argue that removing the offending cars/Ford Transits would have been a better solution.
It's so odd that they live there, you know, next to the scrap site for the steelworks at Tremorfa and all. You think they'd like a better view....

The flatbed and the transit in the pictures on the walesonline article about that funeral are both untaxed...

That would be a great boost to the private parking cowboys... At the moment at least it's only a civil matter rather than Criminal!
Our loveable scallywags would simply ignore it like everything else

Oh god, no - a 13 year old saw the printed warning? Poor little mite. Or perhaps he used google translate to find out what the signs said as no-one else spoke German and asked what 'ethnic cleansing' means.

"There will be an increase in high visibility patrols in the area to reassure the community and to prevent any further offences"

Meaning reassure the community that they will be forced to endure any crime that 'travellers' see fit to commit against them and prevent locals from expressing the levels of desperation they feel.

I like the extra bit at the end of that statement too... the double standards exhibited is remarkable.

Police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.”

I reckon given free speech and no recourse, 90% of the local population would come forward - not about the posters but about the local crime wave from the caravan utilising nomadic travellers.

And if they did, police will decide to do the usual, that is complain about under resourcing, let it go on like it is perfectly legal and have an inquest after they have gone away, then do nothing. The council will pick up the clean up bill, and we will pay more local tax of course.

It is so unfair. Nasty locals casting abuse on the genial little tinkers going about their peaceful lifestyle. I am disgusted in those nasty tax paying law abiding locals for expressing their disdain. Disgusted!

That's interesting, my sister lives in that village, they are all very tight there and everyone knows everyone; I'll ask her what she knows.

https://goo.gl/maps/1uHjtcEvzc62 Looks lovely - but I bet the land is worth a fair few quid to a developer!

Is a "broken arrow" a real thing or not?

Yep, it's an effing mystery.

Well it could be worse. Just wait until you trip over a load of Roma out and about.

The travellers will have to put some proper effort into catching up with that lot. About 15 generations more inbreeding might do it.

I got reported on Facebook for 'hate crime' for suggesting that the collective noun for travellers is an infestation rofl

I was mildly surprised that they used the word gypsies, and not the German word, zigeuner.
Does the village have a proportion of German residents, or did the pik*ys turn up with German number plates on their transits?

Wow, we have some utter scum near us. Rocked on up to an unguarded field behind a wood next to our street.

They were 'partying' until 3am last night. Constant shouting and screaming. Generators running.

The wood is parish land, looked after by volunteers, with a short path and a stream with bridges over it. They've pulled out all the marker posts, trashed the bridges and as for the toilet habits!!

The land owners aren't interested. The police aren't interested. One of the gardens in the street has been smashed up. All on cctv. Lads around 10 years old, with hammers.

One of the field neighbours has been supplying them with water. He fell out with his street when he started a fire which burned out of control during the hot spell. Took down many fences and burned 8 acres. Fire brigade broke down field gate to get in because he obstructed them from going through his land. He was arrested at the time.

Out of control dogs.

Removal process hasn't started yet.

7 hours of heavy rain tomorrow. Bring it on!
