Amazing to hear a politician speak his mind too. So not all politicians in the world are as spineless as our lot.
Goff is as spineless as they come. That statement from him is quite out of character!
Shows how annoying the quaint travelling folk are hehe

Since then have only found one more vehicle that's legal, about twenty others, based there or regular callers, not one taxed.
And those are being towed/crushed when, exactly?

Oh, hang on, T-Word, silly me.

The authorities are on to it. The paperwork IS actually filed under T as you suggest.

That is, “Too difficult, NFA required”.

In the interest of balance, the Intel has been passed on to the right places. Half a mile up the road is a convenient place to stop and deal with vehicles, and there has been a multi agency operation, Police, DVLA, VOSA, HMRC plus? and as I drove by, certainly there were a couple of recognisable vehicles being dealt with, one already on a flatbed, and a Transit with a prohibition notice. Various vehicles seized and some arrests apparently.

As for the specific location originally mentioned, not seen any enforcement activity personally, though it was reported one Sunday the local bib turned up mob handed completewith firearms backup. Only for no one to be at home. Seems there had been some significant disorder on the Saturday night in the nearest town centre, property, vehicles damaged, claret spilt, and this lot were involved. Seems they knew that repercussions might follow so they buggered off for a while. Clearly they are charming individuals, but who hopefully understand the concept of not stting on your own doorstep.

Further video today of the mob shoplifting from a petrol station in New Zealand

It's so polished and care-free that I presume that's how they behave every day at home.

But our own media and authorities are too much in fear, either of reprisals from the "community", or PC accusations from numpties outside it, to do anything about it.

Recent tweet from an officer. Hear bloody Hear!

@FellowMarkW
Dear colleagues, 7 burly men door-stepping an 81 year old, quoting £150 to wash their drive & then ending up getting £7,000 out of them is not a bloody civil-dispute just because there was ‘no force’. It’s a crime all day long& we have a duty to #protect 😤 #Fraud #Investigate

Yes I saw that and thought...

- As opposed to the rest of the UK’s communities then, where sex crimes are considered as fine are they?

- Only sex crimes are stigmatised in traveller circles then, other crimes as clearly not.

The victim impact statements are very powerful. Even a cynical person, like me, was moved by the poor old lady’s words.

Also, what a terrible experience for a young teenager at a formative time in her life. I’m not surprised she is now very nervous when outside the house.

Both put up a fight/struggle against this 6’ 2” brute. Good for them!

11 years.... now I’m a strong advocate for prison reform and rehabiliatation of offenders. Out in. 5/6 if he keeps his nose clean....I think, considering the other offences as well, this really is just too lenient.

He’s badly affected two people’s lives, carjacked vehicles, stolen, put many lives at risk in high speed pursuits...etc...etc... for potentially 5/6 years inside then out on licence.

If sex crimes are stigmatised in his community (you’d kind of hope they are...) then he also has no support or family network to return to on release.

Surely he has to be seen as someone who ought to have an indefinite sentence - I can’t believe he will be a reformed character in five years under our current prison system.

It seems odd that he can use their dislike of sexual offences as mitigation when most of the community bonds are created following the "grabbing" ritual that sees dominant male travellers forcibly seducing females within a whisker of sexual assault.

But it's traditional right just like all their "ways"?

They do, they walk in to Morrisons as if they own the place and smile at you as they walk out with the stock, the local police will sometimes tweet they are keeping an eye out from the local garden centre cafe, the whole town is up in arms about it and it's got worse since they closed the police station.

This isn't a million miles from me: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-new...

But the local MP has written to Sefton Council. Oh that'll be fine then! rofl

In my experience, if Sefton Council can't slap a parking ticket on it, they're not interested. And I can't see their wardens being too keen to head off in this particular direction somehow...
