Welcome to Lowestoft.
http://www.lowestoftjournal.co.uk/news/concerns-ra...

It's the bullst like this that pisses me off
“The council is working closely with Suffolk Police and the Norfolk and Suffolk Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Liaison Service and in accordance with the Suffolk-wide protocol for unauthorised encampments, regular visits have been made to the site.

What I can never understand is that if I'm 30 seconds over I get slapped with a parking fine. Wonder how things would turn out if I turned up in my motorhome for a week.

Basingstoke and surrounding area, has been recently culturally enriched with these delightful nomadic communities. Nothing quite like the huge tail backs created when they decide to take out their quaint period horse and carts onto the roads at peak times. I love the picturesque heaps of garbage and human waste they leave behind when they leave the area each time.

I for one, think they make the UK more culturally diverse and interesting, that we should not keep them all to ourselves, and allow other countries in Europe to enjoy their happy-go-lucky ways, on a permanent, never to return here, basis.

Our local council have at last taken action to protect an unused and dead end road that was being used as a camp for the travelling community and for fly tipping most likely by the same people. They have erected a heavy steel bar fence and gate across the road and placed huge concrete sewer sections behind it to prevent opening of the gate and entry of vehicles. The trouble is the travellers will just find some other unfortunate persons land to occupy.

They turned up tonight at the the gym my other half works at.
Apparently lots of light hearted antics took place.
Ie damage, club members being pinned up against walls.
Oh what laughs

A "tarmac laying" tipper overtook one of my vans on a country road yesterday, just past a council funded camp, pushed him into a siding, destroying a rim, and some lower arm. Thanks guys, will just claim of your insurance shall we...oh, wait.

Katie Hopkins could you come up with a solution for this lot please? mad

The little scamps have just left a couple of car parks they have been occupying.

This bit in the rag made me laugh.

"After leaving, council workers went out to the site on Friday morning and cleaned up the rubbish on the car park, which included two generators, a gas cannister, plastic bottles, clothing and shoes, and food and drink."

A spokesman from council said "Our staff clean the Croft Road car park, which is visited by hundreds of drivers and passengers every day, on a regular basis."

"It is therefore not possible to directly attribute the relatively small number of items being removed in these photos, to any group of individuals."

Of course, happens all the time.

I got out of my car only yesterday and tripped over a Briggs and Stratton genny.

And I stubbed my toe on a stack of empty gas cylinders in Tesco car park only last week.

Small, petrol generators actually bubble up out of car park tarmac and gas bottles are given off by the white lines.

If the Tories are keen on legalising fox hunting does anybody think they'd consider legalising hunting? They're both the same really, thieve st, damage other people's property, generally a nuisance when they turn up anywhere.
Could do it like the Americans hunt wild pigs in Texas. From a helicopter with automatic weapons.

Had to smile today, filling up at the garage, on the next row is a set of presumably travellers, thick Irish accent, Transit with signwriting for tree work, all of them dressed in stuff from that chain saw manufacturer Stihl.

Into the shop they go, all cussing and swearing and generally acting like they do.

Old geezer the other side of the pump says, "How do you pronounce that word on their clothes?"

"Dunno, suppose it sounds like steal."

"Yeah appropriate isn't it" he grinned.

Good effort standing up to them Tonks but ultimately futile.
There are loads of them living in my area and it soon becomes apparent that they'll go out of their way to be arse holes, it's entirely deliberate.

Alot went to my old gym here in Manchester. They all seemed alright tbh. The one thing that struck me is they enjoy fighting and talking about fighting (for fun not aggressive). Once in the sauna a few tried to talk me into joining their boxing club and they were never rude. I guess these were fixed roots travellers.

One thing I did pick up on is they are a cheeky fun loving bunch. Definitely cheeky. I can't comment on thefts etc.

Driving to the Lake District at the weekend we passed a couple of groups of travelers camped outside Kirby Stephen, presumably there as it is quite near Appleby.

My wife joked that we should join them as we were towing a caravan but I don't think that they would have had us, they had much better tow cars and caravans than we did. They had Discovery 4's and Mercedes ML's whilst we were in the wife's Freelander.

Sis in law wasn't amused when we told her the campsite at Bridlington wouldn't let them on. Transit towing a twin axle van, two dogs. hehe
