I did her hair once years ago and recognising her but not placing where from, started chatting away like I knew her It was only when she mentioned doing a gig locally the penny dropped and I had to apologise for thinking she was some old customer I hadn't seen in ages.

She was very nice about it and said she thought I'd be too young to remember Altered Images

No I understand you. What's there to defend. That's what she looks like.

Regardless of make up or digital retouching, a "selfie" type photo taken on a phone is rarely, if ever, flattering.

Phone cameras have wide angle lenses, which, when combined with the fact they are close to you, distorts perspective and generally produces and unflattering image.

The exact same shot, but taken from further away with a more standard lens/camera will always produce a more pleasant result.

I am sure she would shyly thank you for your compliment. She really is in my eyes too, but incredibly humble and quite insecure about the way she looks, and not fishing for compliments etc. Photos just do not do her justice. Her skin is amazing, soft and wrinkle free and she has a beautiful character too. She also spent a lot of time at the gym before lockdown so she does look after herself.

Her heritage - that confuses a lot of people. She was born in Jamaica to a Jamaican father and Indian mother. I am truly very lucky to spend my life with her and never want to take her for granted.

I think Claire Grogan looks great, in the selfie too. Like someone who's looked after themselves and exudes personality, anyone can look good at 26 by living on beer and coffee. I remember her as Kristine Kochanski though.
