Have to say, I'm with PaulGuitar, hadn't a clue who that bloke was. No idea who the woman in the Dock was either.

Never watched a minute of Corrie / Emmerdale / Crossroads / El Dorado / Albion Square / the Aussie soap that wasn't Neighbours / Hollyoaks in my life (in the 50-55 Yr age bracket). Not watched a minute of Eastenders or Neighbours since I was 18.

Kim Kardashian could materialise in front of me, slap me in the face with a wet kipper, wouldn't know who she was (have heard of her, though).

Thanks. It's been a fun career, no doubt about that, and I've always been secure where I am in the showbiz hierarchy, middling as my position is. music

I'm baffled by the illogical accusation that I'd pretended not to know who a soap star is from a show I have never seen, apparently 'to appear all trendy' followed by this attempted personal insult. I know it can be a bit weird on Pistonheads sometimes, but this has been one of the oddest things that has happened to me here. confused
Reading the conspiracy theory thread last night and then reading this I must say its a little bit hypocritical for you to be complaining about personal insults.

I don't agree with the 911 non-believers but you and several others were insulting and dare i say group bullying them last night.
It can certainly get a bit exasperating in the conspiracy thread, but looking back over the discussion last night I don't think I said anything stronger than suggesting one poster had 'embarrassed himself'. Hopefully not really a personal insult. I also referred to 'painfully compromised mind of the conspiracist' but that was in general and although pretty blunt, seems reasonable and accurate I think in some cases.

The poster I was in discussion with did refer to me as a 'snide, woke, gullible idiot', so it's been quite the 24 hours for me on here! eek

This thread has taken a really weird, personal turn. Here's hoping the mods will be along soon to trim all the st-posting so we can get back to pictures of people who aren't quite so attractive as they used to be.
And this all started because I didn't know who a bloke in Coronation Street was, which resulted in being personally insulted about my career. Crazy times.

Hannah Gordon, one of my first crushes, aged well.

Must be over 80 now but couldn't find any more recent photos.

And he still has his mop of hair, lucky barsteward!

He's 8 days older than my Dad who I thought was doing well for 90.

Easy paper round smile
Exactly it's not like 40yrs or whatever it is acting on Corrie is equivalent to 40yrs working in a coal mine lol

And the best part, these types of people would never ever say it to your face. Now lets get on with more important things, some people are just sad little men in life, you cant help them. Keep positive chap.

Now son, can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes.
But it's sad, and it's sweet, and I knew it complete when I wore a younger man's clothes...

You don't need to have seen the show to know who a particular person is.
I've never seen the Kardashians but I could pick Kim out in an id parade
I couldn’t. I’ve heard of them but have no idea what any of them look like.
Same here.

Same with most current pop stars or footballers. They don't figure in my life so why would I know what they look like?

His ex-bird Christie Brinkley has no doubt been on these hallowed pages before. Still a tidy bit of tackle and prime bit of gilf, she’s 68 now apparently. I’m not sure how to do a photo on here using my phone so you’ll all just have to google her (not a euphemism).
